Well thats one thing I know about the game now at least. Not sure why they didnt just use the same title

We don't really know enough about the game to know why the Japanese title is what it is. So it's hard to say why they changed it. On the other hand, the Three Houses connection is fairly obvious.

Serenes Forest goes into a bit more detail about the meaning behind the Japanese title:

"First things first, over in Japan, the game is instead known as Fire Emblem Fkasetsugetsu, which can be read as Fire Emblem Four Seasons, but it means a whole lot more than that.

The subtitle is poetic and evokes the wonders of the four seasons: the winds of Summer, flowers of Spring, snows of Winter and the moon of Autumn. It also has romantic allusions and can refer to a love affair."

Thanks a lot for that link TRE! That was a good read and they noticed stuff I didnt during the short trailer. Looks like weapon durability is back. I kinda liked not having to ever worry about it and it seemed like it was one change a lot of people liked so its curjois theyre going back to it.

Everyone pretended it was a good idea in Zelda, so now Nintendo thinks it's a good idea for everything.

I always like weapon durability, it meant there were scalable better weapons that had to be considered before use, which meant you were forced to use iron weapons on all but the toughest enemies.

It was just another dimension of challenge that I appreciated.

I don't mind that though! I know it's a personal thing but it still brings the game down for me, it's just more a nuisance than anything else. I'm not appreciating the weapons when all I'm worried about is them running out and having a stockpile of whatever is not about to break!

Weapon durability makes way more sense in an open world adventure game like botw. It helps foster a sense of discovery and survival management ( there are way too many open-world RPGs where you can find a good weapon early on and all the other weapons you find in chests and as quest rewards or just trash, making those rewards completely unsatisfying).

In a game like Fire Emblem, it's just an annoyance. It's already a whole project trying to balance all your different character's equipment and having only limited opportunities (in some games) to obtain new weapons anyway. I don't see what durability adds to that as a gameplay element.

Microsoft had the best press conference in terms of showing off games, but the site still doesn't agree. I suspect some people hate Microsoft so much that they refuse to ever vote for Microsoft in any poll (unless it's necessary due to the poll question). It might require Microsoft to move onto their next generation console before the site actually gets back on board with Microsoft again.

Wanting there to be something else when Smash is on completely is fair, even if it's an unpopular opinion. Everyone has their own taste.

Wanting there to be nothing instead of Smash is beyond stupid and selfish. Like, what the hell do you gain from that? The level of happiness between you and Smash fans being smaller even though you're just as unhappy? Jeez.

People who come to this site grew up with Nintendo and Sony. Those companies can do no wrong, especially if they pander to fanboy tastes (Smash).

It's worth noting that that is still Microsoft's best result in almost a decade, so there has been a significant swing. Hopefully they can maintain that momentum, because having a three way discussion is more interesting.

The Nintendo and Sony vote just appears to be people splitting along party lines. Neither showing was super strong nor were the third parties, so people just vote for who they like.

As someone who doesn't care at all about smash, the Nintendo Direct was easily the worst E3 presentation. Yes, even worse than EA.

The only highlight was Princess Daisy being playable over Waluigi, which is just perfect

This may be true, but it hasn't prevented Microsoft from being the top dog on the site for a brief period of time in 2009/2010 after Nintendo had fallen back to earth when the site finally turned against the Wii, and this was also before the PS3 managed to fully undo its disastrous launch.

There's no reason why Microsoft wouldn't be able to become the site's number 2 or number 1 console manufacturer again if Microsoft plays their cards correctly, and the other 2 companies suffer from some kind of disaster that causes them to lose respect on this site.

That poll shows that voters are at least partially factoring in the quality of the press conference (and the games announced). Although if there's even anything close to a tie for the top spot for any potential voters, they're going for their favorite company as the tiebreaker.
