Okay, sure, flaws a plenty, though mostly graphical related stuff and the occasional off sync voice work at this point. But it also has more RPG than 2 and 3 did. 1 was my favourite, and wasn't a fan of the streamlined later games. I'm not forcing myself to play Andromeda like I did 2. As for 3, I never did spend long with it, wasn't taking another like 2. -_-

I knew it would be coming. Not my fault they brought back what I missed in the game most people hated. You're kind of confused, though. People didn't hate Andromeda because it added more RPG-ish complexity. Even people who loved Mass Effect 1 loathed Andromeda. What people actually hated was that the game took almost everything that people actually liked out and wiped their ass with it. If all you're really interested in is the mechanics, and you don't care about the plot enough to ignore all of the terribleness, then there are probably far better games out there you could be playing. --- "Wall of Text'D!" --- oldskoolplayr76 "POwned again." --- blight family ... I don't mind the plot, at least so far at 34 hours in. Though I'm only at 31% done for completion percentage. The biggest loss for me is the Quarians.

But how? For me, the main appeal of the Mass Effect Trilogy was the companions. Andromeda... well, I thought I would love the turian lady, but I thought she was just okay. My favorite was actually PB. The whole game seems like a lot of bland characters + visual set pieces + those annoying glyph puzzles + inferior combat. And all of the asari (except PB) have exactly the same face as Dr. Lexi.
And they cancelled any DLC plans that they may have had. THAT hurt the game for me, certainly. --- Creator of the official Digimon: Digital Monsters community board! https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/1430-digimon-digital-monsters ... Copied to Clipboard!

You might change your tune as you play more. Mechanically I thought Andromeda was okay after the first planet or two, but the game became a slog as I explored further and realized how little fresh content it had to offer beyond that point.

You might change your tune as you play more. Mechanically I thought Andromeda was okay after the first planet or two, but the game became a slog as I explored further and realized how little fresh content it had to offer beyond that point. Agree with this. Game became very redundant and methodical to me. You fight the same three enemies through the whole game, with an occasional curveball like a Hydra thrown in here and there. Having a Nomad that can go fast or climb hills, but not both at the same time, got annoying. Especially when you factor in that you can upgrade the vehicle. You have ships capable of incredible space travel, but you can't figure out how to get speed + terrain scaling to work in tandem? "We want you to explore these strange and beautiful vistas, but we're going to hamstring your ability to do so for no good reason whatsoever." Also agree that there were few likeable characters. None were all that unlikeable, but most of them were boring and uninteresting. Pushed myself to finish it, but was ready for it to end about 60% through the game. Found myself dreading having to go back to a planet I'd already explored to clean up sidequests or whatever. I did like fiddling with the skill tree, and that character resets were available for a small cost. Made playing with builds fun, but making a build is pretty much pointless because the game isn't all that challenging. Should be noted that I played on "Normal", though. Guess I shouldn't have expected much of a challenge. All in all, it wasn't a bad game. Just thoroughly mediocre. --- https://imgur.com/ZwO4qO2 Bluer than velvet was the night... MICHALECOLE posted...Bitch I said help lol But, I really wished that the demand for another mass effect game was going to be met considering the result of Mass Effect 3. Mass Effect Andromeda would have at the very least be a redemption and could have even been a game with the same formula from Mass Effect 1 and folks likely would have been okay. A game made in 2017 shouldn't have issues like Skyrim had. Its sad that instead the Mass Effect Andromeda ends up being another example of a different team stepping in but missing on so many aspects and leaving gamers left wondering when the series will recover. --- "I live my life 3 videogames at a time. A game made in 2017 shouldn't have issues like Skyrim had. As long as developers are creating new engines, testing new ideas, creating assets, messing with physics and gameplay ideas, etc etc - there will always be games with rough launches. There's only so much QA a company can do before launching a game, and large, open-world games and multiplayer games are a lot trickier to test for bugs and such. --- https://imgur.com/ZwO4qO2 Bluer than velvet was the night...
