I really dont know why people get all bent out of shape over this shit.

I cant believe that the internet had a totally [blank] screeching meltdown over the new Ghostbusters movie... and it was actually pretty good, too (and Im saying that as someone whos a huge fan of the original Ghostbusters fwiw).

It wasn't good though. It was quite terrible actually. I laughed once the entire movie and that was at Hemsworth's submarine joke.

It's hard to say what my "favorite" film is. Schindler's List? Die Hard? The original King Kong?

In terms of an all-female remake ruining things, Ghosbusters was the perfect storm. I can't imagine anything topping that. An all-female Raiders of the Lost Ark would be bad, but still not Ghostbusters '16 bad.

i like those choices. I also think Hillary Swank could pull it off. She has the right amount of low-key charisma and intelligence to make it believable. If Sigourney Weaver were younger, maybe she could do it too.

First, I'd need to pick a favorite movie. Second, I wouldn't see the point. Third, I probably wouldn't see the reboot.

Granted, I might be down for a gender-inverted film, but an all-female cast would likely be stupid for most of them since the previous cast would likely be mixed.

Office Space with Petra as the main character? I mean I guess it could work. You still have your oddball female roles, which could be given to members of the original cast. Stephen Root as Nino could work, though the female counterparts would end up looking like an Office remake....

Jenna Fischer as Petra, Philis Smith as Milla, Mindy Kaling as Samira, Melissa McCarthy as Laura(Petras neighbour), and Emma Stone as Meryl Streep(changed for continuity purposes).
