such a surprisingly fun game. I was not expecting it to be so much fun. that city ride mode (or whatever it's called) is so much freaking fun.

It was a tough call between Tales and Wind Waker, but went Wind Waker.

Mostly exclusive games that I'm missing. The X Collection was also wanted since it never got a local release on Cube or PS2, but they are doing another one for current systems, so I can skip that.

I got over twenty Cube games so far, but only two were bought here in New Zealand. Have Region Free to play US games at least. :)

Haven't played half of them. Of what I have played, I prefer:
SC2 over SSBM over MKDD over SMS (which starts to get into the "meh" category) over Luigi's Mansion (which I liked in principle, but some of the mechanics were too punishing)

[EDIT: I realized I played SC2 more on the ps2 so... maybe a tie with SSBM or SSBM over it. I recall not liking the GC's controller as much for SC2 and I preferred the ps2-exclusive Heihachi to Link, even though having Link was more of a novelty)

4SA I wound up never grabbing, mostly because I got into the gen late and wasn't doing as much local play at that point.

My favorite overall GC game (not listed) -- and just off the top of my head -- might be WWE: Day of Reckoning 1, my favorite wrestling game. I also liked DoR2, but the stamina system slowed down the pacing of matches.

Melee gets my vote his time although Soul Calibur 2, Wind Waker and Luigi's Mansion certainly come close.

Weeell....back in 2005, I only got the GC for MGS:TTS. So very worth it :)

I went with Four Swords Adventure simply for its multiplayer adventure mode. That shit is so much fun with all four people goin at once. Air Ride would have been my second choice for the same reason. GameCube has some great multiplayer games for sure

I enjoyed playing Melee with my friends, but I hated the game after I forced myself to get every single last trophy in it. That was tough. :(

Can't remember how you got trophies besides beating the game with characters. Were they just random rewards from objects?

No, many had special requirements. For instance, the Diskun trophy required you to get every single point bonus/punishment you could get in the points total at the end of a match or level, some of which were complicated to pull off.

Never played the xbox version and, tbh, as an exclusive character Spawn wasn't enough to get me to buy the xbox version (although I guess if I really cared enough I could get the HD port for the ps3 which has both Heihachi and Spawn)
