And that's the best price. Some of these people want near or over $300 for them.

I had some and ended up selling them for like $120 or something like that.

Why can't they just make the freaking cables again?!

Just buy gamecubes. They're 30 most places, and come with the cables.

No they're proprietary just like most Nintendo things

I'd just get a Wii TC, component cables for those are extra cheap

That's an interesting thought. Do GameCube games look good when played on Wii?

They're fine.

Make sure you get the kind of Wii that still has gamecube support though

Get a "A/V to HDMI" adapter. I know it will not increase the graphics. But it still looks a whole lot better on a HD TV.

Thought about that too, but I'm more interested in the component signal for the upgrade in graphics.

Nah, Super Nintendo/Nintendo 64/Gamecube all had the same sort of connector (at least for composite cables) but I think it changed when Wii came out.

Back in like 2006 or 2007 I sold all my old video game collection except the stuff that was both mine and my brothers (NES, SNES and the games we were given).

I had like 3 pairs of the component cables, they sold for like $60 a piece. I made like $8k total for my sale, figure it would be worth like $20k today.

It's not emulation, they're running natively on the actual hardware - get a Wii!

I don't think N64 ever had component cables.

In fact, looking into it the component cables for Gamecube had to use a separate connection than where the composite cables would go.

Gamecube component used a digital output port that was exclusive to the Gamecube(and was even dropped on later GC models IIRC) and provided better picture quality than analog output

there are component cables that fit into the analog output on the Gamecube(and SNES/N64/Wii) but its not what TC is looking for

Yeah you can get hardware mods for them to enable RGB or even hdmi out but they weren't originally compatible with them.
