won my 2nd tourney, that was intense as helllllllllllllllllllll

I was mostly losing for the first while, came down to 2-1 sets with him at 40 and me 15, managed to Deuce it, the deuce lasted *FOR FUCKING EVER*, but at least I was always getting the Advantage.

Finally win the set, and on the Tiebreak I just cleaning him out 7-0. I compleeeeetely demoralized him omg aaaaaaaaaa that felt good

I had unplayable lag at first until I realized I was connected to my 2.4ghz network on my switch lolz, since then I've *mostly* been fine outside the odd laggy player though... but yeah any lag matches are NOT nice in this game

I would definitely recommend the Ethernet USB adaptor for Switch for online. It was the difference between making playable and unplayable in USF2 and I imagine it would help here too

i haven't dived into a mario tennis game since 64

first tourney: 2-1
second tourney: 5-0!

played against my first chain chomp, that was tough. his saves are so good. i managed to KO him tho lol

final match was against a toad. went 2-0 somehow!

also did it as waluigi. i'm gonna try out every character and see which i like most. i have no idea what makes him 'defensive' but it sure worked for me.

The one I faced in the final had some insane rallies against me and I feel like if she just played a little bit better I would have gotten rolled in the opening rallies.

I'm more used to her now since it was literally the first time playing against her so it's hard to say, but it'd definitely scary fighting her.

looking up 'defensive', it seems it means waluigi has greater horizontal range, longer reach. basically they excel positioned in the center of the court

There is nothing more intense than a Waluigi ditto.

You just return absolutely everything and combine drop shots and lobs, moonwalking everywhere, no one has a shot strong enough to take the point until you build the charge, and then it's a test of who blinks first.

Also Chain Chomp is just the goodest boy. Him just balancing the ball on his head is the absolute cutest.
