When are we switching over to 6 saves required? We switched over to 5 saves required at the top 40, so I would have thought the next switch would occur at the top 20, but it didn't. Switching over to 6 saves required wouldn't even increase the length of the round that much at this point.

That's too long of a wait. In the previous Save My Pokemon, we were already at like 7 or 8 saves required at this point in time.

Even a switch to 6 saves required next round wouldn't be enough to push the rounds over 4 hours. The overall effect on round length is very minimal.

I liked this contest because of how merciless tennis was with destroying all the garbage early. It's been the best SMP in that regard. He didn't quite go far enough for me but he still went further than most hosts so I'm grateful on the whole. His "policy" of shorter rounds and mass eliminations has been great

I guess you didn't remember when we first switched over to 2 saves required and the rounds started running for nearly 6 hours after that switch.

Short rounds are very bad from a participation standpoint, since it gives people a very narrow window of time to show up for a round. Having slightly longer rounds gives more people a chance to make at least one save during the round.

Do really short rounds, then do two or even three rounds a day, that's my ideal

But in fairness I do care more about the large number of eliminations per round than the length of the rounds, so it wasn't the biggest deal
