I swear to god, I've gotten at least 15 notices in the last week from sites I barely even remember signing up for, notifying me that they are changing how they are handling my stored information. To say that I'm a little leery of somehow being involved in identity theft is putting it mildly.

It's legit. Pretty much anyone who handles the data of people in the EU has to abide by the new GDPR laws. Had to do a 30 minute training at work because of it.

Yeah I have lost track of how many emails I have gotten from sites updating their privacy policy. Humble Bundle even joked about it in the first line of the email. WWE's addressed it with this "These updates include changes to address the new standards introduced by the European data protection law known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)."

Yup, people finally have the choice to say "fuck off" to big data and all the bullshit associated with it. It's funny how desperate all these companies are because when you opt-out there's always a line of "B-b-b-b-but you'll still see ads you know! They just w-w-w-won't be personalized to your needs!"

I don't see ads anyway, so I don't need any site keeping track of what I do.

GameFAQs just implemented this recently, but it only seems to be targeted towards European IPs from what I've heard from other users.
