I can see why the votes went the way they did, but oliver and company and cinderella are the only 2 I agree with so far. Although it has been a few years since I watched sleeping beauty and the most enjoyable parts of those older movies are sometimes the easiest to forget.

Out of curiosity I looked up the ranking list I made when watching all of the movies in a row from a few years back and I have sleeping Beauty at 6 and Cinderella at 10. So maybe I should rewatch it again because I do not remember what made it that good.

Although I also put robinhood over fantasia, but only by one place. Looking at what I said at the time it was because while parts of Fantasia were epic, there were also many boring parts and it got long. But from memory I only remember the fantastic parts and put it high above Robin hood which I mostly remember as ok.

Oliver and Company is the only time I can agree with the outcome so far and literally no one cares about either of those two movies anyway. Peter Pan and Fox and the Hound are my favorites from what's left standing, but I've got no hope they'll survive the first round.

That being said, rewatching these with your own kids helps you appreciate them more now as an adult.

Moana is an AWESOME movie. It's probably top 3 Disney movies for me with Toy Story and Mulan. That movie was way better than I thought it was going to be. Whoever did the music and composition for Moana deserves a medal haha.

I say Sleeping Beauty, aside from a fantastic and charismatic villain in Maleficent you also have fun protagonists in the form of the Fairies (since they bicker and banter a lot) and a very distinct artstyle where the landscapes are concerned. If I recall right they were all drawn up on actual tapestries, and it makes the movie as a whole very entertaining on the eyes~.

I'll admit, classic it may be I'm not too fond of Cinderella. Something about it feels like it's kind of... like, promoting vanity? It doesn't sit well with me as a result.

I think aside from some of the early ones (Bambi and Fantasia mainly) Sleeping Beauty has some of the best art in the entire canon. It's beautiful. That's a big part of what makes it so great.
