ended up going 6-3 with that warrior deck. not bad!

lost the last two matches in a row, though, after getting to 6-1, which is always a bummer. final match was the worst by far. I just got swarmed by a Paladin who had perfect cards on curve every turn.

All I played today was arena, but I imagine it's going to be Murloc Paladin, Cubelock and Spiteful Druid.

I have not seen a single Warlock or Druid in 10 games at rank 7.

It's been mostly Paladin, followed by Shaman, Mage and a single Hunter.

There were also two Warriors in there.

Just had a game where like I didnt know what was happening. It was a warlock playing weird cards and like he drops summoning portal, prince 3, summoning portal, togwaggle, azalina

He died on the next turn though

You're supposed to burn your entire deck out, and then Togwaggle and Azalina on the same turn so you give the opponent the empty deck while also having your own ransom card so they can't really take it back.

I'm not sure if it's better or worse than the Druid, or even the old Warrior, Togwaggle variants.

Good I think, like I think most of the decks hit by the nerfs are still playable but they wont oppress the meta

Evenlock might be the strongest warlock deck and Token Druid might be the strongest Druid deck. Jury is still out on Paladin but gun to my head I would pick Murloc Pally.

The one thing I would say is that there doesnt seem to be a bad class. Like Warrior might be the weakest one but you can still build a good deck that can take on most of the meta

Have had alot of success with my Splintergraft Token Druid, but Ive also been facing mostly Odd Rogues and Odd Paladins, which are matchups Id expect to win.

I got Brann, Dr. Boom, and Don Hancho in my Brawl deck. The other two cards didn't even matter when I'm throwing down a board full of Boom Bots every turn. Wrecked my opponent pretty badly.

Man, I had one go at the brawl earlier, and I got pretty screwed. Just drew a ton of 6s, 7s, and 8s, and died before I could accomplish anything. The only minion I managed to play was two Prince 4s, which obviously didn't even trigger.

My brawl was Rag, Ysera, Medivh, Geddon, Gelbin, Moroes and ???.

Just had a pretty wild arena game.

My opponent Mind Visioned turn 1 and got Tarim. Of course I didn't know for sure yet, but I played under that assumption and it turned out to be true.

I was able to get the early board with dire mole and a maul, enough so to pressure him into playing his Tarim first, which I answered with my own. Then my random 2 drop from Tanglefur Mystic was Baleful Banker, which I used on Tarim. Score.

I kept applying pressure, but he pulled out a lot of AoE. At one point he cleared with a Thoughtsteal Equality plus his 2nd spirit lash. And like he even had a Mossy Horror which hit three of my dudes. There was a point in time when he had a Deathwing on board from Amber, and I had a few dudes but no real answer. Kinda felt like throwing in the towel because I had to just go face and let deathwing hit me in the face. But I topdecked kings and was able to take him down.

Eventually I completely ran out of gas. At one point I had no minions and no cards, and he had 4 cards. But I ended up getting a couple dudes to stick somehow, then drew Blessing of Wisdom and my cult master and was able to catch back up. Also had a divine favor at some point. But the thing is, he had The Darkness or whatever in his deck. The 4 mana 20/20. So I had to make those plays to draw, with the risk of drawing all three candles before I got my 2nd Tarim to answer.

I did end up getting Tarim in time to neuter his 20/20, as well as an Obsidian Statue which he played and buffed the turn before. I built back up board control with Stormwind Champion, then Raven Caller, Grim Necromancer, and Saronite Chain Gang, and he was finally out of removal and I closed it out with about 5 cards left in my deck.

Nothing about the game was ALL that crazy, but it was one of those just strange games where it felt like I was losing horribly for 20 turns in a row and somehow still won.

In brawl my opponent played cho on turn 2 and like we just kept swapping out that 0 mana card. But my minion quality was a lot better.

Also, I've been playing a deck I call "Greed Mage" it's control mage only it's super greedy. I mean it has THE DARKNESS in it and Soulthief. The only purpose for soulthief is like mind blast priest and to a lesser extent warlock I guess.

One game I used the darkness and it summoned and then I used Zola and got another the darkness a couple turns later.

lmfao had an amazing game.

I'm playing my mage and im facing an elemental mage. Well the mage uses the spellstone to get three spells and uses leyline manipulator. He then drops Archmage where the three spells he got were 2 arcane missiles and a geyser. He had another geyser from steam surger. I thought I lost around here.

However, I manged to have board presence and the threat of simply healing damage meant he was unable to try to push damage. Eventually (and I didn't need to do this). I used soulthief to just take his hand and kill him with his generated fireballs.

Ughhhhh im going to bed on tilt.

I only stayed in my last game because of the low% chance that my opponent had shudderwock as one of his final cards.

I knew chances are he would draw into it before i could build enough pressure to win, but i knew he didn't have it yet because he had taken me down to less than 9 health and he played 3 of the 3 damage guys. Also he had already played grumble and 3x saronite. Everything was ready. So if he had shudder in hand he would have just played it and won, right?

RIGHT?!?

So i endure, and im finally getting ahead on board.

And im starting to develop next turn lethal-from-hand set ups. But he clears. And i develop. And he clears. And i set up more lethals, but still he clears.

Meanwhile im dodging the shudderwock draws even as he approaches his final few cards. I can't believe my luck that he hasn't drawn it yet.

Finally he draws his final card but he is on 8 mana from overload the previous turn, but he plays hagatha to prevent another lethal i had set up.

So i know its over, i can take him to 4 hp but no lower.

Its his turn. He plays shudderwock.... FROM THE FUCKING LEFT SIDE OF HIS HAND. THE ASSHOLE HAD BEEN SITTING ONN LETHAL FOR AT LEAST 10 TURNS FOR NO REASON.

I can't think of a SINGLE reason to draw a game out like that. It wastes his time just as much as mine and its not like he was waiting for extra saronites or something to make the setup more likely, he had already done everything.

Quests? Not that it'd justify THAT but I've drawn out the kill turn sometimes to kill a few more minions or play a few more cards or whatever

or maybe it was a mental error I have done that too

That deck is built around that single card. I can't imagine not playing with that cards effects in mind.

quests makes the most sense

if I have a quest to play a certain number of cards, for example, I will basically keep playing cards until my opponent concedes or I die

The tldr is that someone had lethal Shudderwock against him for 10+ turns but didn't play it until they had drawn every card in their deck. He thought they were waiting to draw it but they actually had it in hand all along, just never playing it

Turn four in brawl, my opponents Nat Pagles didn't work out so well for him.

I wish they'd put just a little bit of common sense structure into this brawl. It's a neat idea, but in my second attempt I once again had no chance due to the deck.

Had Sir Finley, which is useless
Brann Bronzebeard with no other battlecries besides Finley
Literally Feugen without Stalagg
Harrison Jones, against a druid

Meanwhile my opponent is playing Curator into King Mukla, and has sylvanas with fucking N'zoth lol

The ONLY reason I stayed was because it was ranked and there was the small chance he hadn't drawn into it yet. I'm not just going to assume he has it in hand and isn't playing it.

I silence a healing totem so I can kill a giant with Ultimate Infestation next turn. So of course he kills it and randomly gets another healing totem to put his giant at 6 health.

Anyone who thinks this is a game based on skill level is a braindead fucking idiot. No game will ever be decided on skill. Not one.

went 4-2 tonight. one of those losses I might have thrown away the game by misclicking early on, although it's hard to say. by the end it felt like I would have lost anyway, but things might have played out differently if I hadn't misclicked.

I'm learning new things with every single game because I'm playing against different decks almost every time. really cool. I think some of my opponents are struggling with this as well. I had multiple times where I completely dominated the board based solely on the fact that my opponent had no idea how to play around cave hydra.

also had my first win as a direct result of the nerfs. final match was against warlock who played dark pact, and I topdecked lethal on the following turn. if he healed for 8 I wouldn't have had enough, but I was able to overcome the +4 health.

I've thought Hunter was really fun for a while, it's probably been my favorite class for the last year at least... likely closing in on two years. it just hasn't been GOOD for a really long time. which, yeah, can impact the amount of fun you have.

also in my case specifically I think I have at least a little bit of underdog syndrome. I used to think priest was really fun when you had to come up with creative win conditions using the very limited number of good cards available, but ever since they started adding more and more powerful priest cards I've found the class less fun to play.

I have to say it does feel bad when you do roll one of those games that just cant be decided by skill. 80% of games are, but the last 20% are decided by nothing but draw RNG and then random effects in game. For example-a Druid getting steam surger and Tirion off of his foragers is VERY strong.

Not like some middle aged children would know what variance is lol.

Had this game where a warlock afk quit on me. I mean he was losing the entire game from start to finish. His weapon got oozed, had to guldan into nothing. Had both doomguard in hand etc.

He also made some awful plays like using a spell stone on tar creeper. It was like at that moment I was like I really dont want to lose to this guy.

The thing with Hunter is before Kobolds it was basically just Midrange and Face for so long, you couldnt really do all that much else with the class. Other classes at least had some sort of unique deck to build around each expansion or some sort of cool combo to play Hunter didnt apart from like, Call of the Wild and even that was a curve topper

Spell Hunter is great, Recruit Hunter is pretty fun, OTK is a meme but it can be a fun one and even Hybrid Hunter has some cool tricks with the secret package
