Anyways, I started my current job a bit over a month ago and over all I am pretty happy, and for the first few weeks I think I was working at a decent pace.

Last week was a bit meh. I don't think I am getting as much done as I think I should be and It's starting to bug me. I am very bad at evaluating how well I am performing compared to my coworkers as well mainly because I don't have a great grasp on what they're working on and I am in a mid-level position and have several people working in the office with less experience than me.

The most obvious option is to work more hours, and is something I'd like to do I guess.

I asked one of my coworkers how I was doing a few weeks ago and he said I was doing pretty good so there's that at as well.

idk what the point of this thread was I just wanted to put something out there to the PotD void. I am overall enjoying myself but I have that issue where I constantly think I am not working as hard or as efficiently as possible.

Ask your boss if there is anything you can improve on. Itll show initiative, and youll get your answer.

Does your boss do an evaluation at some point? If that is sometime off in the future you could just ask your boss if he thought there was anything you need to improve upon.

It's best to ask. Just know that most people can improve in some area. So, just because he tells you an area to inprove doesn't always mean you were doing bad in that area...

Learn the pace from your coworkers. Nobody likes a noob who comes in and screws with their routine. So what if you can do 15 pieces an hour, they happy with 10 and you are not working as hard and everyone has a job. 10 guys to do 100 items or 5 guys to do the same, sometimes it's about people eating and not money

Just because you're asking doesn't make you a kiss ass. And they wouldn't even have to know if that's the problem. There are all sorts of ways to talk to the boss without your co-workers knowing what you're talking about. But I don't really see how asking your boss about it automatically makes you a kiss ass...
