Yeah it was fantastic. Before it came out I was hesitant that Thanos would be in it for like 20 minutes and then he beat the fuck out of everyone for the entire movie.

The movie went against everything I was expecting/afraid it was going to do.

I expected the ending but not that extreme. basically I though that

the movie would end with Thanos gazing at the completed Gauntlet and grinning. or with the snap and then fade to credits. something like that. didn't think they would show the vanishings. But I knew he would win, partly cause I read the comic, and cause of knowing it was a 2 parter

tfw Vision was brought back just to die again. I saw that coming and was still like damn.

Thor coming through and wrecking shit with axe was badass. The audience cheered. I'm not surprised there were a lot of people in the theaters even after a few weeks - new watchers at that.

My wife and I really enjoyed it too, but she was really annoyed with the cliffhanger ending. She doesn't want to have to wait until the sequel.

Then she got annoyed later by the Darkwing Duck fakeout in the new episode of Ducktales.

I think the most pleasant surprise for me in IW was Red Skull showing up while Thanos went for the Soul Stone. It's nice to know where the Space Stone sent him all those years ago, but it'd be nice to know how he became that phantom guide to the Soul Stone.

The Soul Stone appears to be sentient, perhaps it chose him to be it's Guide?

I did like how Thanos was shown to be a conflicted character. It's rare for a villain to be portrayed as anything other than kill, maim, destroy.
