I am very pro-Israel. That's why I find it so abhorrent to see them go down this path of brutality.

I spent a month in Karmiel in the late-00s. I saw their bomb shelters from the war with Hezbollah. I lived with a family whose father fought in that war. I'm no stranger to the reality of life in Israel.

I cheered the assault on Gaza a decade ago. I argued, why don't the Palestinians want peace? Why do they back Hamas?

Well, when Abbas has been left empty-handed, and even peaceful protests are met with unnecessary force, there's really no option left for them.
