This could be nothing, but it could be something.

As someone who doesn't live in any first world country, I'm so hyped and ready for WW3.

There was no 4K or even standard definition TV back during WW2. I think it will be glorious.

Yeah. People have such a high standard of living these days that they'd rather look like wimps than go to war. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's true.

WW3 will never happen. Any traditional warfare like WW2 would have people dying in the billions with the kind of munitions that can be lobbed across the globe in a matter of hours. It would eventually escalate to the point of nuclear options being a very real threat and ending modern living as we know it. World leaders may be brazen, but they're also smart and realize that escalation only leads to their own destruction. Look at America and Russia, we've both been using the Middle East as a proving ground for our latest weaponry and tactics in a series of proxy wars. Neither country is stupid enough to directly attack the other one, things would get so out of hand so quickly. The air combat alone would cause destruction larger than all of WWII in a matter of days.

lol

Israel has been spoiling for a confrontation with Iran since I can remember. Theyre probably the last people I would believe. If anybody is goading Iran into WW3 its them.

It sure does. I could have said just that, but not everyone has played Metal Gear Solid Peacewalker, uh, I mean, read history books or watched documentaries. In all honesty though, I really enjoy reading about the psychology behind nuclear deterrence. It's absolutely insane how we've managed to lock ourselves into it for the rest of our existence unless we make (figurative) earth shattering breakthroughs in diplomacy and communications.

funny when you said proxy wars my mind went to mgs as well lol. I do love how that series mixes in so much stuff that is factual, without the game being overly realistic.

Iran's used Hezbollah as a proxy to attack Israel for decades.

Possibly. The best defense is sometimes a good offense. Who shot first isn't necessarily a good indicator of who the aggressor is.

Well, going by that metric, I'm gonna go w/ the dudes massing their forces right outside the other country's borders as being more likely to be the aggressor.
Maybe you think differently.
