I don't care about Spyro or Captain Toad but that's awesome Crash will be in Smash. Mario vs Sonic vs Crash will finally be possible.

Pokemon Switch Kanto may be good if it just uses the region and Pokemon as the setting. Making it a remake would suck though. It also will be disappointing if they don't try to seriously change the battle system.

The OG 151 are the most popular. Also remember, Pokemon Go was a massive success and that was a garbage game and it started out with just the originals. Also, the more graphically intense a game, the more difficult it is to make the Pokemon. They should try to aim for having more than 151 Pokemon though.

Change how?

The OG 151 are the most popular. Also remember, Pokemon Go was a massive success and that was a garbage game and it started out with just the originals. Also, the more graphically intense a game, the more difficult it is to make the Pokemon. They should try to aim for having more than 151 Pokemon though.

Except all of the models for the older Pokemon have already been done, and have been since X/Y. The models are actually very detailed with more polygons than the 3DS can handle; this was done as a means to "futureproof" having to make new models every generation, so they can keep using the same models for as long as they are able to.

It's a very "less is more" kind of thing. I'd like a similar thing with Kanto - back to the weird and wonderful world of hyper beaming Tauros and the tyranny of Psychic.

The most I'd hope for is...

-All of Gen 1, minus the starters, Mewtwo, and Mew.
-The evolutionary relatives of the above from later gens.
-Over 100 all new Pokemon.
-At least 3 dozen regional variants of Pokemon from Gens 2 thru 7.

All in an all new region, of course.

No. Black and White were awful as a whole. The sequels were so much better its laughable.
My first game was pokemon yellow when I was 5, but if they only put in the 150 it'll be the first time I dont buy the new pokemon games.

Tbh Id only be interested in Kanto again if they updated the Pokemon and added a post-game Johto quest.

We've seen an older Red and Blue (trainers), so it would be nice to see a modern Kanto and Johto. They've had plenty of time to change over the years.

I don't think revisiting Kanto is a bad idea, but it certainly is if they make it a remake and limit you to only Gen 1 Pokemon. Then there'd just be no point. If a new game has to be set in Kanto, it should have a new story. And most importantly, new Pokemon should be inhabiting Kanto in addition to the original 150.

An updated Kanto please. I want to see wtf Cinnabar did to develop their condition after the eruption. And if Blaine either passed on the badge or built a new gym instead of keeping it in the middle of a goddamn cave.

I find them releasing just a standalone title of "Pokemon Kanto" really unlikely, compared to say something like Pokemon Red Sun and Pokemon Blue Moon. I don't see them dropping the two edition model ever, since they've clung to it for two decades now.

Though honestly I will say it'd be interesting to see how a single Pokemon game does on its own, instead of splitting the sales between two games.
