Damn, I really freaking enjoyed that movie. Not sure if it passes GoG1 for me, but .......seriously close if it doesn't. I'll need to consider it over time and watch it over again to tell. I've seen GoG1 three times already and still love it......so not sure if this will stand the test of time as well.

Still....much love.......so glad I saw it.

I mean, I guess no main ones are scheduled and the next spiderman is set to come out right after it (kinda gives away that someone is going to come back, and basically everyone probably (that was made into dust at least).

To be fair, the next Spiderman movie can literally end with him getting on the bus he's on when we first see him in Infinity War. There is plenty of wiggle room for just about anyone else except for Thor and the Asgardians, Hulk, Panther, and Strange without resorting to flashbacks-as-storytelling device. The next clue will be at the end of the Captain Marvel movie since we already know that takes place in the past and with the Infinity post-credit, there has to be something at the end of Capt Marvel's movie that sets up Infinity pt2.

Also, suspiciously absent, Hawkeye and Ant man and Wasp, though Ant Man was at least referenced in a throw away line in IW.

Also, I have to wonder how Thanos will eventually affect the Netflix and Shield spheres since they've both used the battle of Manhattan as a main reference point timewise.

My guess is that more is hanging on the Capt Marvel movie than people suspect. Don't sleep on a Secret Wars plotline.

Pretty good stuff!

The movie didnt waste any time (Thanos already having one Stone)
Plenty of great action sequences
Everyone got a good amount of screen time for the 3 different stories happening at the same time
The ending blew everyones mind.. instead of the usual good guy triumphs against the bad it was the opposite which was refreshing

Someone pointed out that the original Avengers werent turned to dust at the end .. Very interesting. I assumed the ones left behind are characters that are played by actors who arent coming back after Avengers 4? (Minus Rocket and maybe Thor?)

My only gripes -
Zero surprise cameos from a character associated with the MCU but has never made an appearance in one.. even Civil War got Black Panther
and
Dispite all the Captain Marvel hype and countless articles about her appearance in the film being leaked early (I'm guessing people mistook her for a blonde Black Widow) she was no where to be seen. Fury paging her at the end seemed way too late to accomplish anything except sell the audience tickets to the next 2-3 films.. wrap it up already!

I really liked it. The parts where they were forging the hammer started to drag for me but otherwise I was always at least mildly entertained. The ending was truly chilling. Everyone feels the need to say "They're all coming back" as if they're smart for figuring that out or something.

Of course they're coming back but that doesn't change the fact that it was executed very well. I'm pretty sure we knew that the day would be saved in both Avengers and Justice League but the execution is what sets them apart and makes us cheer for one and sigh at the other.
