i agree with the comments that this Gamora is not the "deadliest woman in the universe" like she is in the comics. i was always upset we didn't get a design more akin to Adi Granov's Nova covers:

Loving that that one LTM post was quoted. Of course hes a miserable, unhappy, jaded person. I am a very good judge of character and will always be right on a long enough timeline.

Anyone else excited for the Tony/Nebula team up in part 2? They're the only people left on Titan and they should still have access to the Milano unless it got popped in the fight by the debris. It's gonna be a very angsty and sad trip to Earth!

I feel like all of the action scenes were incredibly on point. They knew that screentime for each character was limited so whenever a character appeared onscreen, they had them bust out their best moves right away.

Why did Strange say there was no choice but to give him the stone?

Also, I laughed when all of the tertiary characters died besides Rhodey and Nebula, though I was surprised by Spider-Man and BP.

I haven't read every post either but I think its gonna be something like in that ONE chance he saw them winning out of the 14 million, it had him giving the stone over to save Tony. Most likely something like every other one Tony was dead and by saving Tony then by giving the stone, even if it brought all this about, it'll eventually lead to them getting Thanos down.

I'm sure this was covered in the topic somewhere and I'm just retreading stuff so oops

Yeah, it's pretty clear Dr. Strange was playing for the one future where they win, since he very flatly said early in the movie he wouldn't hesitate to choose the Time Stone over either Iron Man or Spider-Man if it came down to it, and it's not like they became best of friends in the interval.

I'm going to guess Tony sacrifices himself wielding the gauntlet to fix everything in part 2.

I think this movie showed more than anything that Tony has to die. He isn't going to stop until he kills himself. He can't settle down with Pepper because he just isn't going to stop. Not sure he can have a happy ending.

Cap is the same to a degree, though I think Thor sticks around and just leaves Earth as a way of writing him out.

I'd be pretty disappointed if one of those three didn't die. I don't want them to but I think it really has to happen.

Was just kind of reading around the internet and agreed with something that basically said the Thor characters were left off with the most open-ended story of everyone here. Who is dead(Really dead) is a total question mark. So they left themselves the option of continuing those stories or having already written them off depending on contract issues or whatever.

Cap and Tony are both going to die, almost certainly.

Wait a second,

Didn't Thanos have the infinity gauntlet like six years ago when he said "I'll do it myself" and puts it on? Because Peter Dinklage said he expected Asgard to protect the dwarves when Thanos killed them. Did this happen six years ago and no one from Asgard went there in that entire time, and Peter Dinklage just hung out the entire time doing nothing?

He had it sometime after AoU when that post credits scene occurred. Loki had been acting as Odin since Thor 2 and it's a plot point in Ragnarok that the 9 Realms are in chaos because Loki wasn't watching over them. This includes Nidavellir as was said by Eitri in IW.

The audience only applauded when Captain America showed up, when Thor arrived in Wakanda, and I heard a bunch of gasps and muttering when Red Skull appeared. Aside from that it was fairly minimal interaction, not counting laughter for jokes or cheers when a villain was defeated.

People were dead fucking silent at the ending. For a full house that was crazy. It was unreal.

Following Avenger's with one of the least popular and, no pun intended, smallest entries in the MCU's sequel is gonna be rough, not to mention the only other movie between part 1 and part 2 is Captain Marvel, which is probably going to vastly more important and I'm certainly looking forward to much more. Ant Man and the Wasp is set before IW, but I wonder if it will cross over. I fully expect the credits scene to tie into it at least.

They've actually said that it's supposed to tie in close to IW and Avengers 4, whatever that may entail. My theory: at some point during the movie, possibly during the credits scenes, people start evaporating and it ends with a clearer hook about what Avengers 4 will be about, maybe even revealing the title.

Since a chunk of AM&W is supposed to be in the Microverse I suspect they'll be in there during the events of IW and come back to everything all ruined post snap. Thinking the Microverse might be immune to the snap as technically it's a different universe. If not Pym is for sure getting dusted.
