Bellsprout saved the day in one episode like a boss in A Bout With A Sprout.

I'm most curious as to why these rounds have slowed down. Are people dropping out with all of their top favorites eliminated?

I mean, even if the almighty Lord Helix goes out, I still have others I can support like Swampert, Charizard, Scizor, Chandelure, etc. (and I kinda developed an attachment to Jolteon with my make-up saves, hence me sniping to save him). But I think some people have 2-3 priorities and once they're all gone, they're done.

the 9am PST round the other day slowed down. But beyond that they've been as quick as ever.

This round took three hours. I thought they were taking two and a half. I also noted the absence of several people but maybe that's just me.

I haven't seen any evidence of participation dropping off. This round had 33 users with at least one save (excluding alts). We've remained at 30-35 users per round for the entire contest. Although I was surprised when there wasn't an increase in participation when we reached the Top 100, like what happened in the 2015/2016 Save My Pokemon contest. The 2015/2016 Save My Pokemon had about 40 participants per round before the Top 100, then increased to about 50 per round when the Top 100 started.

And that's just because early rounds are usually slower in general, and even then still no one got a fourth set of saves.

Missed round, but things turned out fine (Venusaur worst of its line; Bulbasaur is all that matters).

I can confirm being a regular user of earlier rounds now being persuaded by other things, since I got KO'd pretty badly by losing 5 of my absolute favorites in two consecutive rounds (Chikorita being my final blow, although Moltres still being FREAKING UNDERRATED!). When I later "lost" other favorites (Pidgeot, Butterfree, etc. [although I did let Pidgeot die]), I was no longer hyped, and I barely cared for a while. I admit sometimes not showing up because of lack of hype.
