I still play occasionally for new events and to be disappointed in not getting any lance streamstones

I'm in the squad that @GanonsSpirit made, but no one else is in there

i don't like this new gaming as service model.

all i hear are drips. i will complete this in a day and won't come back until the next drip in 2 months. it makes me feel like i'm wasting my time.

(and yet i'm still playing mhgen and loving all this content!!! So much content! i haven't finished it all and i'm 200+ hours in (i'm still a noob in this game). i want to play more! I'm only hr 7)

I still play multiple days a week. Trying to finish the last of my crown hunting in those multi-monster events, then start the dreaded elder dragon crown farming next. I'll definitely appreciate more content to break the tedium.

With the addition of the new Elder Dragon Kulve Taroth, players will need to participate in the new Siege limited-time quest type. Players from the same Gathering Hubs, which can house up to a total of 16 hunters, will be divided into groups of up to four hunters each in order to successfully hunt down the Kulve Taroth monster.

The wording on that part really needs to be clarified.

I kinda see what Megas is saying, in that it doesn't specifically state that it needs 16 people online at once all in the gathering hub to fight it.

That said, I wonder how the actual monster fight is going to work if it does allow it to be engaged with only 4 people. Because it sounds like a raid boss and those are typically scaled to the max number of people.

tbh, it's a franchise I *wish* I could get into, given that I love the premise. However, I don't like the controls, camera, etc. That and group raiding is often a pain given scheduling and time commitments.

I've only played demos of the past games so I'm definitely not the best judge of changes throughout the series, but the controls and camera feel much improved in Monster Hunter World. And everything in the game can be solo'd, in fact, it's actually easier to play solo. Only arena quests call for multiplayer if you don't wanna be miserable. And the raiding aspect seems to be limited to just this one new monster.

I finally finished hunting for crowns in those multi-monster events. It took 62 Diablos kills to get both of its crowns......and those are supposed to be the easy crowns!

Even though I have 2500+ hours into monster Hunter I only have 60 into worlds.... I don't like it at all, sure it looks great but everything is ruined.

Ugh, I kinda don't like the idea of doing Multiplayer for this, since I've always been a solo guy, but I can only try with this one....I REALLY want the Armor and apparently whatever good Glaive this might give....

Though, I've only got 3 FULL Armor sets since Vaal Hazak is being a bitch, Odoragon, Nirgegante, and Xeno'jiva, And I'm a Glaive User, so I dunno how helpful I'd end up being, since I'm always in the freaking air with that thing, lol......

My group of 4 just finished it. We had 8 going so two groups of 4.got a bunch of weapons that are trash and I won't use.

Not looking forward to farming this like apex 140s in mh4u for the best weapons

Edit: new Palico armor set is a lot cuter than xeno'jiiva and with the same defense. Also a new samurai armor set just for looks from tickers from the event

Haven't played it yet so I might be wrong but, as I understand it, you gather up with up to 16 people in the gathering hall and you all go on the mission at the same time, and the game divides you into 4 man groups.

You don't actually interact with the other groups as you go on the hunt, you just run around with the other three members of your group.

However, all of the groups share the same mission, which is "Break the target's horn." And as soon as any one member of any group accomplishes that, EVERYONE's mission is over.

Each group gets rewards depending on how many parts they've broken during the fight. You also get rewards if other groups break parts, albeit at a lesser degree.

Did it again. Pretty fun actually. My group broke the horns both time, so I'm guessing that gives you 6 extra carves (3 per horn, maybe it was 2) from being the group of 4 that did it. The rest of the rewards are picked up in the gathering hall after its over. Then you can restart/repeat the process.

3rd win, still my group that broke horns. All I can say is make sure to get the mounts and throw an affinity booster down by the head when it falls and go ham on the horns

It's 4 extra carves only from horns at end, and still same reward pool as final rewards, so only 4 extra carves for victorious team

Nvm, even if a group wins, the other groups playing get to finish their run so everyone has a chance to break the horns. It's just that when it's done once, that instance is over once all parties doing it are finished with their run.

Bushido tickets are given by the quest to make new layered (looks only) armor and Palico gear. 39 tickets need total for all (3*5 for one layered set, 4*5 for other, and 4 tickets for Palico gear)
