If you're a feminist you're depressing. Do your job as a women and make sure your man is happy, your house is cleaned, dinner is ready And you sit there lookin real pretty for your man who has to work all day and deal with people who upset him. Make his life easier not harder. Make him feel like a king and he'll one day make you his queen ladies. Just do as you're told.

I was with her after the first line, but after that it's up to individuals to decide if that's what they want.

Nope, but if you don't want to believe me, that's fine.

Remember when marriage was about partnership and making each other's lives better through mutual love and trust? Was I just imagining things?

Marriage was not about this for a majority of its existence across civilizations

Unless, you know, he never becomes a king. Then you're just a servant to some peasant, and who wants that?

Well...uh....I think she's saying to always treat him like a king no matter what.

But she goes through so many boyfriends so of course it's not working.

Does this woman have a job?
If she doesn't, then there's no reason she can't cook and keep the house clean if he's paying all the bills.
If they both work they can both do the chores.

I've always liked this idea. If both people have a job, then you can both work and clean. But if only one person has a job, then the person that doesn't can clean, cook, do whatever chores around the house, etc.. I do think that things can change once they have kids, though. Kids can be tough to raise. So, while the stay at home parent can still use the day while the kid(s) is/are at school to do stuff, it would be nice to have help with a few things later on. Especially during the summer. But I think responsible adults could find the appropriate amount to split...

She is, but she's attaching the reward of becoming "his queen." That's not going to amount to much unless he's actually a king.

Definitely too much of an extreme for me.

Like I'm kind of in that classic woman role, but not because I feel like it's what men deserve because they're men. Or that it's what I'm supposed to do because I'm a woman. It just makes sense for me to do chores and cook when my husband works and I don't.

Of course with degenerating chronic disease, I eventually won't be able to do even that... But a relationship is about supporting each other however you can. It ain't slavery.
