Disney getting involved and insulting me with bad pizza in an email advertisement.

Cheeseburger Pizza ketchup, yellow mustard and pizza sauce on a sesame-seed crust with American and cheddar cheeses, caramelized onions, diced tomatoes and a slider patty, finished with a house-made burger sauce and pickle

Cant we just have normal pizza with normal toppings.

I was at Golden Corral the other day and they have this pulled pork pizza things...it sounded normal on paper, pulled pork on pizza? Sure why not.. Then you see it and realize its some weird take on the idea, the sauce is mustard based and just absolutely gross. People started that BBQ Chicken Pizza craze like 10 years ago. It wasn't bad, it replaced pizza sauce with BBQ Sauce. I didn't think it was great, but I wasn't insulted by the taste. This new fad of terrible pizzas....this is awful. Absolutely ruining a good thing.

Why wouldnt they just replace the pizza sauce with the ketchup and mustard? If you are trying to recreate an actual cheeseburger with your pizza and have 3 burger condiments on it already then what purpose could pizza sauce serve at that point?

I will never understand the hate for pineapple on a pizza. It is so good and works well with so many other toppings. It even works on that BBQ chicken pizza.

Pineapple just doesn't fit
It's taste is too dominante and doesn't feel like you are eating a pizza at all, like you are just eating a pineapple and a piece of dough
This is unlike Sweet Potato which is also sweet but it's taste isn't dominante like pineapple, so you actually feel like you are eating a pizza with something tasty on it

That's not really weird, plenty of southern states use mustard bbq instead of vinegar. Though I wouldn't trust Golden Corral to deliver anything quality.

Also in general, most things are good on pizza. It's sauce, bread, cheese, and toppings. That's pretty hard to fuck up unless you just make a bad pizza. I'd draw the line at ketchup/mustard though, that doesn't seem like a good pizza sauce.

Cheeseburger pizza is a pretty "standard" specialty pizza I thought. Most places that I've seen that offer specialty pizzas (stuff outside of typical cheese+sauce+toppings) have it. It's on par with BBQ chicken pizza or something.

My local place got pretty creative with their specialties since they already have all the common ones on their menu. The one that I haven't been willing to try yet is French Fry pizza.

One of my favourite pizzas involves replacing the pizza sauce with alfredo sauce then topping it with chicken and bacon. It isn't that crazy, but definitely falls outside the realm of "normal" pizza.

I think the whole pineapple on pizza "argument" is a giant internet meme. There are probably hundreds of toppings that you can come up with that would be less appropriate to put on a pizza (some of which are probably being used already) yet people put all the focus onto this one particular topping, which despite the argument is still reasonably popular and is part of some traditional, long-standing recipes. You could find some toppings that everyone agrees are bad.

And I'm saying this as someone who does not eat pineapple pizza at all.

The meme is that it's blown way out of proportion. Some people like pineapple on pizza and they get it occasionally. That's it. There's not some huge invasion of pineapple on pizzas that you culinary integrity warriors need to go to war for. Black olives and green peppers are far more of a scourge.

You think it's okay to force your friends to eat disgusting green peppers on pizza, or pepperoni for vegetarian people, just because it's not pineapple? There's something unique about pineapple as an ingredient that only some people like? The only religious people I've ever encountered are anti-pineapple people. It makes no sense at all and you cannot justify it.
