So Fates isn't really ahead of the pack or anything. I think the support shown for the Awakening/Fates people is weird though. Losing people like Tharja and Azura but keeping Lissa, Elise, and Virion isn't good for the games' long-term success.

Henry and Tharja are nothing alike aside from both being dark mages really.

I do like Henry quite a lot though. He's the second best left. I'm just saying picking Virion when Sully is right there man...

I just don't get the Virion love! Before this contest I never knew anyone liked him!

But yeah here's some of the Awakening characters lost:
Severa
Owain
Robin
Chrom
Tharja
Vaike
Maribelle
Vaike
Miriel

Even the 3rd-stringers in that list would be more popular (generally speaking) than Lissa, Sully, Virion, or Cynthia. I think outside of Lucina, Donnel or Henry is the strongest Awakening character left and that's confusing to me even as someone who really likes both.

Virion's a pretty cool character really. He actually has more depth than most of the Awakening cast. Like he comes off as the standard woman loving caricature but yeah he's got actual backstory and stuff if you do his (and Cherche's might have a bit too IIRC) supports.

That being said he's not my favorite or anything. I like half that list more than him. I do want to get a 5* Virion in Heroes though but man I've had terrible luck with getting natures for him.

I think if there had been a few more savers, allowing me to up the save count sooner, we'd be seeing some different results, since all it takes is one bad day to lose someone like Tharja. Lissa, Sully, Virion etc. have a handful of people saving them every day with only 2 saves needed to remain (until tomorrow anyway).

And for the record I like SS! I just find it curious how it's retaining it's characters far better than any other game so far.

Honestly, outside of Donnel and Lissa, I really like the Awakening characters that are left. And if I had noticed this contest sooner, some of those Awakening characters would still be around possibly!

SS and PoR have the best casts, imo. Haven't played past Awakening, though. That game kind of killed my interest in the series.

In terms of sheer number of characters I like Awakening is probably my favorite cast but a lot of em are really one note unfortunately. I can't really say many of my absolute favorites are there relative to the number I like. Fates has the same problem but it's kinda just worse across the board.

Blazing Blade has my all time favorites in it but is kinda thin behind that top tier. Lot of whatever members of that cast.
Sacred Stones is probably the best balance of quantity and quality.
Path of Radiance is basically Sacred Stones with a decent amount less quantity.

Overall I'd probably say Sacred Stones > Blazing Blade > Awakening > Path of Radiance > Fates > Binding Blade of the games I've played in terms of casts.
