Tomorrow night, Scripps College will be hosting a pool party (click here for archived event) at the Sallie Tiernan Field House pool that only non-white people will be allowed to attend.

Organized by Scrippss Latinx group Cafe con Leche, the event was announced via Facebook (click here for archived description) under the claim of being the first ever POC [person of color] pool party in [Clare]mont.

The three-hour use of Scripps Sallie Tiernan House Pool is aimed at the creation of a safe space for 5C students that identify as POC to come together and build community, and will be open to only students identifying as POC attending the Claremont Colleges, a consortium which also includes Pomona College, Claremont McKenna College, Pitzer College, and Harvey Mudd College. The event is set to take place between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM, after the pools normal hours of operation.

Just another daily isolated incident.

Just watch these people claim next week that Racism and discrimination against whites doesn't exist and is literally impossible. When you demand a bunch of things from White people but than when similar issues arise against white people its dismissed and mocked.

Look Racism against miniroites is a bigger issue but being racist in return, and denying its possible against whites or other such divisive actions only further perpetuate racism.

Segregation shouldn't be acceptable in any case, but at least if it was instead a pool party for black people only you could make some flimsy argument about trying to bring together the black community.
