So, after this week, I will say that I still enjoyed watching Brock vs. Roman, but now I do not like the program.

Roman lost, and really got the shit beat outta him. Why does he get another title shot basically right after? Why is he complaining about the second title shot? You're gonna have the babyface complain about a conspiracy and that he's being oppressed? He's not just gonna own up to it and fight for another shot?

I want to see Joe beat the shit outta him worse than Brock did. I want to see Joe choke him out in 30 seconds. Joe is such a dynamic talker and interesting character, while Roman's character just lost the little bit of sympathy that I started to feel for him. If there was a situation where Brock lost the title, this is actually the worst one. If he lost it to Joe at GBOF, if he lost it to Braun at No Mercy, or if he lost it to anyone at Summerslam, they would've all felt more realistic and more believable than if he loses it to Roman at Greatest RR. Roman already got the shit beat out of him, Roman is a whiny baby at this point, and I cannot imagine that, after beating Braun and Joe and Roman and all three at once, he's going to lose to the least threatening of the 3 in a rematch where Roman didn't even have that much time to recover.

I read something about how Brock's new contract allows for one UFC fight, and that he can't fight in UFC for another 6 months or so because of the drug violation thing. While it's dirtsheet stuff and shouldn't be taken at 100%, if it's true that kind of clause in the contract wouldn't make a lot of sense if he was just going to drop it at GRR and go away.

I think it's really stupid to give Roman the belt after all of this, but if we've learned anything it's that Vince loves Roman and doesn't care about what the viewers want. If it's not Braun that takes down Brock, I think Joe is the guy that should do it. Joe could be the monster heel that kills everybody, since they don't have that now that Braun is face.

Lets do some future booking/planning here.

In this scenario, Brock beats Roman again at GRR. Joe has already challenged him (Roman) after that. Say Joe beats Roman as well. Does he get a significant returning boost from there, or is Roman "damaged goods" at that point? I know in the eyes of management a win over Roman is a big deal, but what about the standard viewer?

What I'd like to see happen...

1) What Raiden said: Brock beats Roman, Joe beats Roman, and then maybe Joe is the one to beat Brock. One of Joe's few losses on the main roster is from Lesnar himself, while Reigns has been pinned twice by Brock. There's logical reason to believe Joe could beat Lesnar. Or....
2) Roman beats Brock (remember, this is a steel cage match; all Roman has to do is escape), then Joe beats Roman at Backlash for the title to begin a program between the two.

What will probably happen: Roman beats Brock and Joe and holds the belt until SummerSlam. As stated before (also by Raiden), Vince loves Reigns and doesn't care what the viewers think. I think there's credibility behind that statement considering Reigns didn't lose until getting six F5s, while nearly everyone else went down with one (besides Taker who needed 3)

I have a couple problems with this, the dumbest story they've done since Eddie vs Rey for custody of Dominic....

Ok, so apparently in story Reigns WAS booked to win (which right there kills ANY Roman vs Vince story if we are admitting he was booked to win originally by Vince...) but then Vince changed it to Lesnar. But Reigns wasn't informed. But Roman ADMITS he got his ass kicked. Not it looked like his ass was kicked, not he was booked to get his ass kicked, he got his ass kicked... like shoot.

So either.

1: Roman is a bitch and let Lesnar shoot kill him (because again, Reigns would think Lesnar was shooting if he was trying to win since Reigns was booked to win still in his mind)
2: Reigns tried to shoot beat Lesnar while Lesnar was shooting and got his ass kicked...

Neither of which in anyway would have ANYONE cheer for Roman as a face. He's either a bitch or he fucking sucks.

So now, Reigns has said if McMahon keeps giving him Title shots he'll win one...

So...

Either that means

1: Reigns won't take it like a bitch this time and he's gonna shoot beat fucking Lesnar the World Champion shoot cage fighter..... IN A CAGE!!!!

2: Roman who got destroyed at Mania in a shoot already when there were rules and no cage is gonna somehow shoot defeat the bigger faster trained, WORLD CHAMPION cage fighter and amateur wrestler IN A MOTHER FUCKING CAGE!!!!!!

This storyline is so dumb I can't even begin to comprehend it.

Now in fairness, Rey/Eddie had a great 8-match series which finally died when Eddie got the win on SD in an epic '05 and finally let it go.

But one of their cultural rules is that women cant participate in sports which includes pro wrestling

Looks like the new UFC deal is getting finalized. ESPN and NBC split the programming, each with some fighters exclusive to their networks, PPVs drop to 6/year

Should all this be true, the domino effect is that WWE is almost certainly moving to Fox in September 2019. USA is going to have to pony up a lot more money than WWE is worth to keep them.

FOX doesn't have the best history with Wrestling. They had Saturday Night's Main Event in 1992, though in fairness they acquired it when America's love affair with Wrestling gone tepid with the steroid crap and people being bored of Hogan.
