Saw it yesterday, it was insanely good. Really loved the meaning behind the challenges,I could kinda create

and yo at the end when the co founder was revealed to be the butler at the museum everyone in the theater was flipping out

I haven't seen it but i read the book. it's pretty good book. you can tell it was the writers first book, just like JK Rowling's Philosopher's Stone.

I loved it. I thought it was a pop culture reference overload that surprisingly didn't seem to distract you from the "meat" of the movie. I could't stop laughing at The Shining reference and was already laughing the moment I saw the bouncing ball after Aech mentioned he/she never seen it and asked if it's scary.

I actually liked how the movie lightly touched on gaming addiction and how some people have killed themselves over games and/or neglected their family due to a game. I don't think the movie was trying to send a message with those few seconds of reference but I thought simply including it got some point across.

I'd give it a pretty solid 8 / 10. I know that the marketing for the movie generated a lot of pre-release backlash, but I thought the film itself was actually pretty good. A lot better than I expected, even. The wife and I are both in the target demographic ('80s kids), and we got a kick out of all the references.

Favorite reference: Sho using the Glaive from Krull as a weapon.

Somewhere between 9 and 9.5 Romance was hella forced, which may or may not have been the point. Would have liked more time spent explaining how the world ended up in such a state, although you can use that as a testament to how engaging the world really was.

pacific rim 2 was fun to watch
a lot of nice cinematography and cool fighting scenes' it really was better than just 'okay'

Wow... I had no idea so many people enjoyed this movie. It was super average.

i give it a 7.0. the book has better hidden easter eggs.
The movie ending felt to rush like they just need to mansplain all the concepts the moive couldn't get into because of time, but just take it at face value.

I like the book better.

the moive had a lot of warner brother properties. i can't believe we didn't see a bugs bunny in it. But we got LoTR, Mortal Kombat, Chucky, Alien (which is Fox property but still in Mortal Kombat), Freddy Krueger, and The Shining.

It was cool to see the Big Foot monster truck and a mad ball.
