Step 2: Enter the VGM channel. When the time comes for a game, join the voice chat, as well.
Step 3: Listen to the music the bot plays, and furiously try to type faster than everyone else what the game or song title are.

I'm in the UK, so 7 in the US will be midnight for me. If it's on Saturday, I'll try to come in for the start but I don't know how long I'll stay before I go to bed. I won't be able to do Sunday at that time because I'll have work to go to on Monday morning.

I already stated on Discord and this topic that I wouldn't be available until mid-October. I am eager to see if we get to any of my songs and how people do on them if so.

Well we'll probably get to them unless you submitted 5 really impossible songs that will all appear at the end of the list. We usually make it around 85-90% of the way through survival lists and even if this one is a lot harder it's still likely we make it through half of the songs or so.

Edit: In fairness I think we technically lost on like song #7 or something one time but uh let's just forget that ever happened, shall we?

I'd advise playing one non-survival list first. Those have a different flow to them, and they're usually a better place to start if you haven't hosted before.

But yes, there was a bot playing. I just made a youtube playlist and fed it to the bot. There are controls for the bot in a separate channel on discord I kept hopping between any time I wanted to skip to the next song.

Oh, and for everyone else, it was quite the game. Thanks again to the nominators, even if you couldn't be there. We had maybe the highest turnout for a game I've ever seen, despite a few noteworthy absences, and the game extended for five hours. Everyone was exhausted by the end, especially when I made it look like I was only using everyone's first four songs, and then dropped all the #5's on them at the end.

The team went from winning handily to getting dumpstered very quickly after that, lol.

One other thing--we have a pastebin with all of the past normal-format guessing games in it (assuming NFUN has updated it). Typically you try and pick songs that haven't appeared yet on the pastebin, though some lists have had a couple accidental repeats and people haven't cared much.

We've declared survival lists (AKA the format we played last night) to be a "separate canon" due to the large number of songs for those, meaning that those lists just use whatever songs they want without concern for repeats, and also a song appearing in a survival list can still be used for a normal list without being considered a repeat.
