Apparently it's a taboo to watch a movie by yourself at a movie theatre because you don't want to look like the loner who sits alone while most other people are sitting with friends....

I was married for almost 20 years and I have still watched over half of the movies I have seen in theaters by myself.

Other then watching them with my wife, I prefer to go alone personally. I can lay down using multiple seats and it's more comfortable, and I don't feel obligated to seat next to somebody which always makes me uncomfortable/hot (I didn't even sit right next to my wife, though I would often lay down and put my head on her lap as I watched a movie hehe).

Watching movies alone is better in my opinion. I don't get the whole shared experience thing as your paying attention to the move, not hte person with you. The only exception I can see is if your on a date and flirting etc...which I have never really done in a theater before (Even when dating).

Once was Age of Ultron (I left for a date who ended up cancelling shortly after I walked out the door, so I didn't want to come back home like two minutes later)

Second time was Black Panther. I have no friends up here atm lmfao

I hate seeing movies in theaters so I haven't since I usually end up getting dragged to the theater with other people when I do go. Still, if it was something I had to watch in theaters then I wouldn't be against the idea.

I haven't even gone to the movies that I have to pay for often. I went with my dad a couple months ago. But before that, it had probably been a couple of years. I do go once in a while to watch a movie on base for free. But very rarely. And usually with my BF. I usually don't plan to go alone, though. I feel like I'd be bored...

Can't say I have no. It's very rare for me to go to the pictures with other people due to the price of admission and other people making noise in the pictures so I certainly wouldn't go by myself.
