well yes but as far social pressure and stigma goes, the holocaust is probably the sacred cow of the bunch

I would say Rape. No one is actively experiencing the Holocaust and in 20 years everyone that lived it will be dead. Food allergies and pregnancy, well, I didn't know people actually got upset when joking about these things.

Every year around April fools my Facebook blows up with posts saying "statistically one of your friends can't get pregnant. It's no laughing matter!"

Imagine not finding jokes about pregnant rape victims with food allergies during the holocaust funny. How miserable some folks must be.

Most of these thing are used as shock value for people who aren't clever enough to make jokes without shock value. But I think you should personally know people before making jokes about all of them because otherwise you'll probably come off as a douche. Especially if it's rape and they personally experienced it. That would be a shitty thing to do to just make them think about that moment in their life cause you told a bad joke >_>.

Edit: The internet is known free for all and you should avoid most of it if you don't have thick skin. I don't think people should be babied

This. They're the only two listed that I think should even be remotely considered off-limits for jokes, and I'll go for the recency/ongoing nature of rape.

Moreover, I just can't think of a rape joke I thought was even slightly funny, even in an "oh my god that's so bad" way like some Holocaust jokes. Unless we're talking about jokes at the expense of the alleged rapist like Big Ben or something, then some of those can be funny.

I go to local comedy shows and hear rape jokes all the time. The good ones

Example of a good one? I honestly don't think I've ever heard a comedian tell a rape joke that was funny.

No it's not, it's really easy/lazy humor.

That's why so much of what you see at open mics/beginners places is a bunch of "Donald Trump's sucks, am i rite?" It's the only way they can get a laugh.

But you don't see it NEARLY as much by the big leaguers.
