i just finished a bag of the "Inspirational Artist's Blend" which I enjoyed.

very traditional tasting but smooth. i think i like the mokka-java a bit more but that was nice.

the "Bear Blend" is interesting because it's the same beans throughout but some are light roasted and some are dark roasted. it smells stronger than it tastes.

i bought one of the medium-light roasts, Uninhibited Malawi. haven't opened it yet tho.

same. im hesitant to take the plunge because i already feel like my routine of grinding beans, doing the french pot, etc takes enough time. not too thrilled about the idea of manually pouring water over the grinds for 2-3 minutes.

as far as grocery store coffee goes Peets is pretty decent. i dont particularly enjoy dark roasts and it seems like that's practically all they offer. i've never seen a Peet's medium roast whole bean before.

Peet's is $10/12oz at my grocery store and HappyMug is $11/16oz (not including shipping).

Trader Joe's is the best 'cheap' coffee i've tried.

lmao I'm too lazy for that. as it is I don't make enough time for the french press lately because most of my mornings pre work consist of me on the toilet

I got mokka-java and comforting rwanda for myself about a month ago - mokka-java is great, smells wonderful. comforting rwanda's flavor I'm not as big a fan of but it's tolerable

not long after i started buying from happymug, and i think shortly after i recommended both of those to you, i learned that i was grinding way too coarse. i adjusted my grinder and noticed a significant difference in the taste. the first time I tried Artist's Blend I wasn't too keen on it and I loved Comforting Rwanda. after fixing my grind i bought them again and my opinion flipped -- AB was good and CR was just ok.

sorry for the bad rec. i feel partly responsible for every cup of that CR you force yourself to endure ._.

starbucks has legit espresso i've been told and i've also been told they will make pour-over if you request but i have yet to test this

but their auto-drip coffee is blegh, especially when it's the Pike Place roast. the medium (blonde) isn't bad at all tho

I do not frequent starbucks but I just enjoy my coffee with a more caramelized complexion and occasionally with a sweeter disposition which is analogous to me

I assume you just enjoy coffee as bitter and dark as you are!!!

i've been drinking coffee for probably more than half of my life and it's still pointless to me to have so many different blends. they all taste remotely the same to me.

something watered down is easy to notice but rich and premium brands with special flavors/names? yeah i've never really cared. as long as it does its job, coffee is fine in any shape or form.

sbux has great take home coffee. usually go with veranda or guatamala. their instant coffee will get you buzzed in no time too (if youre into that)

the drip coffee from the store usually tastes like shit cuz it isnt prepared correctly (worked there for a minute).

right now, just sipping on a columbian blend from Trader Joes. use an electric grinder where i can adjust coarseness.

anyone mess with cold brew? havent been able to find a good make-at-home blend. bought this already made stok brand from the store a few months back and really enjoy it. nice and smooth~

Yeah sbux drip coffee that they serve you is literally boiling when you get it. I always put creamer in my coffee at home but at sbux its like they expect you to so its so fucking hot

I've had a French press for like a year now and I still haven't tried making a cold brew concentrate. I should give that a go soon
