building a pc is better than buying pre-built, imo. the "master race" is because you built your own rig, the way you wanted it.

then you don't get warranties. It was cheaper than building it myself because it came with a keyboard, mouse, and Windows 10.

You can still get warranties on individual parts. When I bought the parts for my last system, I got warranties on the motherboard, CPU, video card, and PSU.

Not a bad system, to be honest. What in particular, isn't working? Not booting? No output from video card?

Well, in my experience buying pre-built gaming PC's, mine has been working as fine it was since I bought it in December of 2012 for eight hundred American dollars.

Then again, I never even play any games on this...

If the graphics card was bad TC could find out by taking the graphics card out and using the HDMI port from the motherboard.

That would narrow it down to the power supply or graphics card. If it still doesn't boot, do the same for RAM, hard drives. If none of that fixes it it's the motherboard or the power supply.

PC's crap out randomly.

It's not like a phone where you have to slam it on the concrete or snap it in half. They usually never break all the way though, that's the best part. Usually you can just replace that one part that broke.

If your power supply is bad your whole computer could fry though.

Just like any electronic device, parts can be faulty and there is a lot of different components in a PC. The thing with a PC though is you usually have the ability to easily replace whatever is faulty. Hell a loose cable or something could be at fault. From what I read you have a warranty though, so get that going asap the sooner you do the sooner you get your PC back in working order, downtime sucks but it happened so deal. If you didn't have a warranty though you could just test parts to figure out what died and replace it. Best case the PSU as that is one of the cheaper parts in the system these days

Prebuilt computers, especially ones that are cheaper than ones you can build yourself, are fucking notorious for having shitty components. They use said shitty components because they're incredibly cheap. Hard drives are a big one.

Except that's BS. $1200 for a prebuilt is still a crazy amount. There's a small possibility it was because of cheap parts at that price. They might be overpriced, but not by that much. 6 months is more than enough time for TC to screw it up.

Also TC posted the pc supposedly, it doesn't have cheap-ass parts.
