If they truly have no intention of reconing end of z they have 5 years left before that, however Goku fucked off in those 5 years from earth, now where could he have gone in that time in between his training trips? So that means the characters in that time frame will still have their iconic looks before getting hit by the aging bricks. Especially Satan and the kids.
