in what situation would you use "a electronic" properly

Umm yeah, always.
It would be actively unintuitive to do otherwise. It feels less natural to use them improperly so I don't get why people do it. Like, the whole point of "an" is to break up the awkward glottal stop between two vowel sounds in a row. ... Copied to Clipboard!
