What must be a new mechanic that I don't fully understand is the urgent was offered through the regular menu, but also by a purple-toned bar. So I've gotta look that up and see what the deal is.

As for actual anime stuff, I watched Meteopolis today. It was one of my remaining DVDs from last year...the previews were Final Fantasy: Spirits Within (SUMMER 2001! AMERICA ONLINE KEYWORD: FINAL FANTASY) and Cowboy Bebop: The Movie (in Japanese!). Time is starting to creep up on me...

So how's atelier lydie and suelle? was thinking of getting for the switch once it comes out but i see its already out on steam?

My only disappointment with Lydie and Suelle are the available party members. Only 6 to fill all the slots, with Lucia and Illmeria being DLC eventually and the only way to achieve a female-only party. They improved Plachta's design and she looks amazing... but is no longer a party member.

PC port quality is excellent. No blurry 2D (fixed in Sophie and Firis) and graphics are on par with PS4 while hitting a stable framerate. Stupidly fast loading times, too

It has by far the most complicated crafting system out of all the Ateliers I've played so far. Not sure if that's a good thing or not yet, but it certainly makes you think a lot about what to use with how many different catalysts, component types, and enhancers there are to use.

Combat is the same as always. Craft big bombs and blow shit up

Good character interaction. Plenty of funny scenes and I'm only 15 hours in.

Twin protagonists are both great. Lydie has Kanna/Tamaki's VA. Closer to her Tamaki and just too damn cute

Of course, the best graphics in the series. The painting worlds are pretty and give the game its unique gimmick

9/10 would recommend on PC/PS4

What are they even doing with Escha and Logy btw? I think I read they were in one of the previous games? I always hated that the Atelier series just leaves perfectly developed couples hanging

Logy was the blacksmith for Sophie and Firis, and loli Escha showed up in Firis. I think it was just an excuse for the devs to not have to come up with new characters and squeeze a few more sales out of it just for fanservice. Not much happened there

Hagel is the blacksmith for Lydie and Suelle and WAY better than Logy

So overall it has less details than the PS4 version except in 2d cutscenes where they all 3 are practically equal?

Killed some Rhenoplos, haven't done much else.

IIRC Gen had a few variants but their deviants had too many redundancies. Narg/Raths didn't really need extras, and though I enjoy fighting his usual appearance, neither did Zinogre. Adding "fight me twenty times to get functioning armor" on top of that kinda turned me off from them, too.

Great Maccao got the shaft though, since every other "first" had its cousins or whatever you'd call 'em. Great Jaggi/Wroggi/Baggi, Veloci/Gen/the-red-one-I-can't-recall-drome. Poor Maccao doesn't have anybody.

Looks like the Katana Maidens recap episode this week actually explained something that was left ambiguous by the first cour ending last week. *SPOILERS*



So the super-evil Aradama bitch split away from Yukari at the last second. That means Hiyori's attempt to seal it away failed and it's still alive out there somewhere. This may also explain (what looks to be) the Aradama-possessed versions of some of the Elite Guard members that appear in the poster for the second cour.



But does this mean Yukari herself is still alive? If she is, and she's now separated from Princess Tagitsu, does that mean she's not evil anymore? Will she become an ally to Kanami and the group in the fight against it? I really don't know, but I'm even more excited for the second half of this series. Can't wait until next friday!

I watched 3 and decided to drop it, at first, but instead i tried to get till ep 5 and see and it was pretty much the same but a bit better

So i just put it on hiatus, since you said its 24 eps and not 12 like i thought, so it probably will get better but i rather wait and binge it than follow it weekly, i already got enough weekly wait with darling...

Oh don't worry for my sake, as i said i don't take spoilers as badly as others, specially for series i'm not that invested in, and even then spoilers sometimes help me to get interest in stuff like how you're doing with katana maidens, i would've dropped it outright if it kept being a freaking school trip with the most clueless MC ever like it was on the first few eps.
