Exactly. All the gun "accidents" I see on the local news, the guns were in easy reach of children and other unauthorized people, not locked in any way.

I took my two 10 year old daughters and 8 year old son shooting this past weekend, I always harp on safety and teach them respect and responsibility for guns. Even with all that, when they're not on my person they're in a 300lb safe lag bolted to my bedroom floor

Yeah, exactly. The mom should have been armed too, and she should have been checking on her kids to see which one of them she would have to shoot if things went bad.

Seriously though, this is a sad story. And arming everyone doesn't do shit. This is precisely one of the reasons why. Not everyone is responsible and locks away their guns or keeps them out of the reach of children as they should. Or should we blame video games now as the problem?

This is what happens when parents are too scared of the authorities to discipline their kids. A few decades ago if kids acted out they'd get a firm spanking. This kid was obviously out of control to kill over a controller, where was the firm hand of the father? Oh right... Discipline would have saved that little girl's life.

Listen, everyone in the house should have a firearm, maybe two, on their person at all time. If one person gets shot, the rest should open fire to express their freedoms and make sure everyone else is safe.
