Board 8 > Before I make this purchase, does anyone on Board 8 play Final Fantasy XI?

Got caught up watching videos of it last night and thought like, what if I never complete it and they decide to end the service for the game and the opportunity is just never there again. I've never played on PC before, and genuinely despise PC gaming, but my 6 year old laptop still has specs that can handle this so I really wanna give it a try.
