Welcome to SMFFEC 2018. The first contest in a long while to determine Board 8's favourite Fire Emblem character. Certainly the first since Awakening, and possibly since Radiant Dawn as well. A lot has changed for the fortunes of the series since then, and whilst opinions on whether it's original spirit remains intact vary, it's inarguable that it's riding on a wave of popularity the likes of which it's never before experienced. No matter the game though, they each feature a diverse cast containing series favourites from beginning to end. But who is this board's favourite, and does it differ from mainstream opinion? Only one way to find out!
RULES - You may save TWO characters per hour. - A character requires TWO saves from unique users to be saved. - Make it clear in your post which character(s) you are saving, or I'll be unable to count it. - The last character unsaved will be eliminated. - Trading is allowed, provided the terms are kept within contest (i.e. they must be a save in this contest in exchange for another save in this contest). This includes negotiating for trades in future rounds. - Rallying, editing/deleting posts and attempting to cheat with alts in forbidden. Depending on the severity, multiple offences will result in a contest ban. - Only Luis can start new topics. We'll cross the bridge of other rulings if and when we come to it. I have no idea what the future holds for this contest - if it'll be run again in the future and who'll be hosting it - but let's just say for now that unofficially speaking, the bottom 15 characters will be hard-booted, and the 10 after that soft-booted. So make sure your favourites survive the cut!
