I usually go to the ER, it's open 24/7 and I get free health services with my medical card. Can't beat that! I don't like the offices where you have to make appointments, I prefer the ones that you can walk in for them to see you.

Apparently I had pneumonia once that resulted in a collapsed lung, and didn't know it until I went to the doctors for an x ray, then transferred to the er

This is most likely a troll topic, but people that go to the ER for everything because "it's free" can choke on a bag of dicks. Insurance gets charged ER rates and it's part of why everyone else's premiums are so high.

I usually go to one of those "doc-in-a-box" style places. None of the real doctors around here are in my network and accepting new patients.

Nope.

If I'm sick and I want to see a doc I go to a walk in clinic.

If it's at night and I feel my health is in danger and the clinic is closed and I won't make it to tomorrow, I'll go to ER.

that only happened once when I had food poisoning and I spent 8 hours pooping every 10 mins and then it went clear, and then it was just blood. That freaked me out.

If it's really acute, I'd go to an urgent care center or ER. If it's that bad, your primary care doctor is going to refer you there anyway.

I rarely get sick, and when I do I usually just nurse myself back to health.

I've had really bad sicknesses before too. Maybe that's why immune system is so good.

I don't really have a "primary" doctor. I usually see whatever is available

And yes, to another previous user, I do use the ER because it's free for ME!

Going to the ER for everything is really expensive and you get shitty care.

They don't do anything for you unless its a severe emergency then you get admitted to the floor, and then people like me have to deal with you.

There are great doctors and nurses at my ED. We get great care cause we have people who don't suck at their job! It's not expensive for me, my medical care covers the cost. So it doesn't affect me as a person.

They actually do a lot for me! They order lots of tests, give me medicine, antibiotics, etc. Maybe the one that you go to have horrible docs but that's unfortunate. If you go somewhere that the ED only does stuff to do when it's an emergency then that's a shame. You should come here, where they actually do their job!!!

ER visits have $150 co-pays on my insurance. Doctor offices are $20.
