That's my problem with Mal though. As soon as someone posts an argument that he doesn't immediately defeat, he starts deflecting and ignoring it....

Or even worse, responds to it but responds in a way that doen't make any sense or at least doesn't add up.

The whole "Killing children in the US is okay because the suicide rate in Japan is worse." non-sequitur springs to mind.

He just has a preset collection of statements and ideas to state that he firmly believes and then doesn't seem to care if they are relevant or true.

It's the hard arguments that Mal just tries to double down on and really shouldn't.

I have way more respect for someone who makes and argument and then admits they were wrong when proven otherwise, then someone who is unable to accept that he could possibly wrong and simply ignores or deflects anyone that he cannot argue against.

Because of that attitude mal is a bad poster IMO.

He's a legitimate bottom five poster on CE. I don't even know how people interact with the guy at this point. After seeing him post blatantly false information about several subjects including NATO, the Paris agreement, net neutrality, and many others I just can't even respond to the guy. How can anyone take him seriously?

The only reason I haven't put him on ignore is because his "SJWs attack" topics are the most hysterically pathetic part of CE. It's amazing that the guy spends so much time looking for people that piss him off so he can do some mega thread on a dying message board.

People would be less mad at the things they say if they just apologized afterwards and admitted fault. It's the doubling down and/or ignoring the horrible things they said after the fact that makes them unpopular.

What gives you the idea that Mal wouldn't freeze up? Most people without police/military training would probably freeze up. It's easy to talk about, but far different in practice.

tbh, it's short for "National socialist." Socialism is a leftist philosophy and leftists tend to prefer concentrating power at the national level rather than distributing it equally across society. So authoritarian leftism (same as communism) isn't an inaccurate label. However, the left-right distinction isn't as important as the authoritarian/libertarian distinction. Authoritarian governments are inevitably bad for citizens.
