I was in the hospital with an inmate because he had a TIA. The doctor said he feels safer knowing I'm here to protect them because they can't have guns in the hospital.

This was on cape cod with virtually no gun violence.
It made me realize the media is really good at scaring people.

I was watching a suicide risk at the hospital when I was still an MP. The doctor told me he was glad he lived on base because we were the guys patrolling and keeping them safe. I really wanted to tell him that as soon as I leave here Im driving out to the fish hatchery to sleep for four hours.

It's almost like hospitals should hire security staff or something. By context, I'm guessing that's what you are, TC?

I can guarantee you're not the typical high school dropout illiterate gun owner that would be proud of this story because literally nobody with a PhD would ever say their presence with a loaded weapon makes them feel safer.

I'm a deputy sheriff. There are no armed security guards in hospitals in this state.
