Also, nobody did anything about the Rwandan Genocide in 1994. Bill Clinton absolutely refused to send our troops there for peacekeeping, even though he was urged to. Nobody in the international community cared about the oppression of Whites in Zimbabwe, turning it from the wealthiest African country when it was Rhodesia (whose currency was one of the highest rated in the world), to a hyper-inflated basketcase, and one of the most impoverished countries in the world.

Of course, suppose that Trump did do something, and send our military to South Africa, or gave the whites there temporary refugee status, then the Democrats would all demand that he be impeached, for "racism", and for "supporting Apartheid" and the U.N. would denounce the U.S. for that. Maduro would likely get outsed and killed by the populace. But Venezuela has oil, and going officially to war against it, will drive up energy costs substantially. Meanwhile, we would also have to deal with the F.A.R.C. terrorists near the Colombian border, and turn the entirety of northern South America into a shitshow, making more enemies than allies (with Chile being the exception, since they've been allied with us ever since the anti-communist regime of Augusto Pinochet).

Various boards on GameFAQs have seen several topics over the years about the situation for whites in post-apartheid South Africa or Zimbabwe. This is only the latest one. The ones that focus on South Africa tend to be about how predominantly white suburban neighbourhoods are under threat from violent crime. Can rarely seem to get anyone interested enough to recognize violent crime as a social problem that might afflict far bigger numbers of South African blacks, though. I'm just wondering if the topic creators follow any news from the rest of the continent at all, and why they're so selective.

It's kind of funny- you have a new age movement amongst the altright that tries to act as though white people are victims whenever something like a hate crime comes up. Not only is this not the case, but whites in the west still have a great deal of privilege in most aspects of life. It's comical for them to complain about systematic oppression and such.

No im not. My cousin wasn't allowed to join the air force and my auntie lost her job 10 years prior simply because she was white. To top it off since moving here there all doing well other then my uncle who died hating a country and people he fell in love with in his early years. As for they have only just past the law do you think that stopped them.honestly?

How can you claim to be educated enough on the topic to have an opinion based on facts without even conversing with people who live in the problem?

On the other hand, it's wise to at least check and compare other sources to verify, if you can, what one person has told you about a situation in a country -- even if they're from that country. I'd be interested to learn how SkynyrdRocker's claim that his uncle had his farm expropriated years ago can be reconciled with the news that the South African parliament has only just passed legislation on the matter. "If you don't know any Boers shut the fuck up and don't dare question the story" isn't really a satisfactory answer.

Regardless of whether I believe the story or not, it's entirely possible for that to have happened. Just because parliament finally got around to making it law doesn't mean it couldn't have been a general policy that simply wasn't stopped. I mean if they're at the point that they want to make it the law then you kow it's been a general sentiment for some time. And if they've felt that way for awhile then there's no reason to believe that it wasn't something that has been quietly happening before they decided to make it an official policy. Simply on a smaller scale and to those who have no enfluence to try and make noise about it.

fair point but it wasn't Skynyrd that's uncle had his farm took it was mine...

he was actually backing me up from people that just called me a liar and from his own personal experiences from people hes know from RSA.

you don't have to believe me but so far the 2 guys that have talked to/know South Africans are saying its bad and has been going on for years and years. you can go out and look for evidence to suggest the other i'm sure you will find something if you look hard enough. but for someone like myself you cant convince me otherwise the final years of my uncles life were misery due to the racism he experienced at the hands of black south African's people who he only ever helped.
