I honestly would say it's Coco. I think it should have been nominated for Best Picture, and putting in a separate category just for cartoons feels outdated.

I think Three Billboards will probably end up winning although now it's getting heat because the racist cop has redemption and people don't like that.

Don't know if it was my favorite but Wind River is a gem that most people missed.

I personally loved It Comes At Night as well.

I didn't see many movies, so probably Ragnarok. It was just an incredibly fun movie.

Going by movies released in 2017 though, it's definitely The Greatest Showman. Didn't see it til earlier this month.

Never heard of either of those

If you don't mind smaller movies that are more character and story focused without too much going on in the way of action and such you'd enjoy them. Also It Comes At Night leaves some room for interpretation if you're into that.

I'd suggest going in 100% blind into both if you haven't heard of them.

Well yeah, Clerks is pretty much my favorite movie ever, so I'm definitely into movies like that.

Dunkirk, though I've only seen two other 2017 movies (John Wick 2 & Logan Lucky - both just "ok" to me).

Three Billboards and The Shape of Water were the best
Baby Driver, The Florida Project, Lady Bird, and Get Out came close
Logan Lucky was my surprise hit, couldn't believe how much I enjoyed it
Logan was the best comic book movie by far, it'd prolly make my top ten

probably Song to Song, I'm a huge Terrence Malick fan and he has yet to disappoint.

On the Beach at Night Alone comes close, as does Sleep Has Her House and The Fate of the Furious.

So I name an experimental drama, a slow paced Korean film, a film with no humans but because I like what I consider to be a perfect action film the rest doesn't count?

Fate of the Furious isn't the perfect anything. It's a really bad movie, and by far the worst of that film franchise. It's just crazy to even mention it.

It was mindlessly entertaining, the perfect summer popcorn flick.

It isn't though. It isn't entertaining. It's a terrible movie. Calling it the perfect summer popcorn flick is a travesty.
