Although Wii is still the best system of choice for Bit.Trip Beat, you use motion controls to twist the remote around kinda like a pong controller in bar form. It just feels really great that way so the game loses a lot in the ports (including a 3DS port) imho

Fortunately thats one where the Wii version will still be available, thanks to the existence of a physical collection of the whole original series.

Hooked up the HDMI cable and see literally no difference, but it's more ergonomic for my TV so it's fine.

Looks like I will just need to purchase a few more things to complete the collection:

Accessories
2 more Wiimotes (bringing it up to 4 total)
1 more nunchuck (I don't see why I'd need more than 2 of these)
1 classic controller (purely for 1-player games, as I already have 4 Gamecube controllers)
1 SD card (for game saves only)

Excitebots best racing game, MKWii can suck it. It was stealth-released like nothing else I've ever seen (literally "announced" amidst a press release list of upcoming games just 2 months before launch), it's a more insane version of the launch game Excite Truck, where the goal isn't necessarily to come in first but to make the most points doing tricks - gaining extra points for 1st place. It's pretty fast-paced so the rush of racking up points and rushing between trees for Tree Runs while trying to get first is awesome.

House of the Dead Overkill for best rail shooter (there's also Resident Evil Umbrella/Darkside Chronicles for fans of RE)

Debatable, but me and HM would say The Last Story for the Sakaguchi RPG. It has framerate issues but it's a short JRPG with a unique gameplay system. If you're interested in JRPGs this would be the #2 to get to after Xenoblade, not that there's much other options >_> (well, my #2 is ToS2 but people are even less favourable of that!)

Trauma Center games were always a big hit, hard to explain exactly but you may've heard about it, originally a DS series

Rune Factory: Frontier a pretty good console harvest game

Rhythm Heaven Fever - really fun rhythm game, just check out some youtubes and you'll get it

Red Steel 2. This'll probably be overlooked because Red Steel 1 was a huge pile of garbage that garnered a lot of attention since it was a big hyped launch game. Red Steel 2 however is legit and completely unrelated story-wise. RS1 was a shitty gun game that let you flail the remote to do an OP melee attack. RS2 is an actual swordplay focused game where the gun is supplemental and it really is the best justification for WiiMotion+. Visuals are decent for the Wii too, a nice cell-shaded western theme significantly more cohesive than the original.

Although if you can enjoy bad games, RS1 multiplayer can be fun to just fuck around and definitely cheap since it sold a ton and was a bad game. There's not many FPS local multi games anyhow, probably the best case "legit" option is Conduit 2 but that's pretty silly as well anyways.
