In certain roles, I can enjoy him; he's a little too over-the-top for me in comedic roles. Really, he's the Terminator and that's almost enough to be an enduring legend in my eyes.

Conceptually unique, but in execution this film is pretty atrocious. Too often, horror films skimp on good acting and think a charisma vacuum can play a main role, just so long as there's a body there you can kill.

I tried to emulate Jack's sunglasses move as a young person after seeing this film. He has his shades resting just above his eyebrows and then he moves his brow up and down once which jostles the sun-blockers onto his nose. I thought this was the coolest thing ever. I had a weird sense of what was cool.

The biggest flaw with the film is that a baby they chose to film grew up to be Jim Carrey, replete with catchphrases and unique improvisation. If this was a realistic film, we'd end up with someone like Samwell Tarly.

The story of that movie is fucking bizarre. Like, from what I remember of the guy playing the main character, he was IRL gay but decidedly closeted about it. Then he winds up in a movie where the phallic candles are shooting white goop at him and is like, "I think the director is fucking with me"

It tries way too hard to be "so bad it's good", and I've learned that only people who are incapable of simply making something good in general shoot for terrible quality.

I'm a sucker for British history, and the quality of filming and acting (not to mention the setting) makes this film essentially a proto-Game of Thrones. Just a riveting movie.

There are small things in this movie that made me enjoy it for what it was. I'm also a sucker for Hugh Grant; he's royally typecast, but he oozes a certain charisma in virtually every role. Otherwise, I thought that there wasn't enough time spent on the Hollywood side of this film; Roberts, however, doesn't actually come off as a star. This works to great effect in Ocean's Twelve, but not at all here.

She's a decent actress. I stand by the opinion that she was actually at her best in Enchanted; I think a lot of the more serious roles she's taken since have been predicated on a strong script and less on her actual talents. Of course, she's best remembered for being Jim Halpert's girlfriend for three weeks.

Hey cool, someone who isn't lambasting Mel Gibson's directorial work for once.

I really liked the film too. I'd probably score it ten points lower but still. I love me a good Hollywood epic.

As an entire canon, the ratings are all over the place. And since the films aren't actually united in a single continuity, you can't judge them as a singular universe. So this is a best-guess aggregate average score.

I don't know if I ate a bad burrito beforehand or what, but this film did not live up to the hype for me. It felt like it was trying way too hard to kind of glamorize the feeling of drug-induced hazes, and I just never really enjoy drug-related stuff in films.
