Wanting to see where people fall, because my family is visiting right now and they are the lazy type and I want to go stuff... Blah!

Eh... it really depends. Like on everything. If I go somewhere like a cruise or to an amusement park, I obviously do things. But going home just to visit family, I might not do much. But I might. It just depends on everything, including how I feel and where I go. So, probably lazy...

Depends on the locale. I tend to do another chillaxing at home that I want to explore while on vacation, though. Even when I'm just visiting another area for the afternoon for whatever reason, I'll often try to make the most of my trip by seeing a lot of the area.

Why would I pay hundreds/thousands to go somewhere and sit on my butt? I can do that at home for a lot less.

Active. I love to see the sights, do some hiking and eat the food (who doesn't with the latter?)

Hmm..my vacations are usually busy. I have to make time for travelling to different countries, spend time with family and run errands.

So I'd spend the first ten days out of the country, come back and spend time with family and then tend to other not-so-pleasant things like cleaning my flat, car services (repairs, renewal or part replacement), bank and/or utility transactions and basically preparing to go back to work.

I do both. I've traveled through some countries (Japan, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Iceland, USA, I'm from Canada), and I definitely do both in spurts. I'm a person who really enjoys my downtime, but I love to get out and do exciting things, like hikes and bike/motorbike trips. I read way more books while I was traveling through Asia than I normally get around to. Got through 8 books in 2.5 months, not bad!

I'm going to Vegas in...10 days! I won't be gambling, I intend to chill by the pool a bit, drive to the Grand Canyon, go see some other desert sites...maybe I'll rent a saxophone (I play) and serenade the cacti...anyone have any recs for Vegas? I want to eat a lot of tasty food...might splurge on a show if there's anything worth seeing. I'd probably see Britney Spears honestly.
