it was discussing a summer sport. it was an olympic ad but they chose volleyball, when the Winter Olympics are ongoing currently. and that to was typo. sometimes I type words twice and other things. I make all kinds of mistakes. because I never mastered typing on a laptop or a phone.

Gotta get the unfortunate people stuck watching the make-believe Olympics hyped for the real Olympics to make them less depressed.

I do wish the Olympics was more often though. But I guess being every 4 years makes it feel more special.

if you didn't refuse to watch half the olympics it's only every 2 years. let me guess, do you live the south? I always assume people like you are from some place that never gets snow.

Never had a desire to play in it. Not sure what that has to do w/ the Olympics only being in the summer, though.

Thats crazy. I never thought Id hear of a commercial for the next olympics at the current olympics.

just because a sport is in the winter does not make it a fake sport. there is no logic behind that. they are still hard to do, and the athletes are incredibly skilled. I will never understand this idea that if snow or ice is involved that it's somehow easy to do, and anyone can do it, and it's not a sport.

Are the X-Games the Olympics? Is the Superbowl the Olympics? Those are sports, too.

ITP: Sledging and Bowls are as athletic as hurdles or discus.

Accept it, any sport that does not rely on traction isn't a real sport.

thats cause the greeks never saw snow unless they climbed a mountain which they were scared to do cause of the gods. just cause it didn't happen in ancient times doesn't mean it's not valid. the winter games were invented decades ago and they were an instant hit. not once has the world missed a winter games from happening. if it wasn't that great, it wouldn't have caught on. and winter culture is very important in many countries.

The Greeks literally named the whole event after the mountain that they believed the gods they were honoring lived on.
Not to mention their mythology has the most well-known myth for explaining the changing of the seasons (Persephone).
They knew what snow was. They had mountains. And clearly they didn't really give a shit about either when it came to sports, and neither do I.
