I signed up this account the day after 9/11. It's a pretty easy one to remember, obviously.

But now when I look at my account info, it says:

Member Since September 13th, 2001 (16 years ago)

That's just patently false. What gives?

Time zone difference? Maybe you made it late at night on that day, and the servers run on a time zone where it would have been past midnight (and therefore the 13th) for GameFAQs itself. That's all I could think of. EDIT: For me, it says you made it on the 12th at 9:53 PM, so the time shown is't based on GameFAQs itself. Maybe your account is set to a time zone where it would have been the 13th already.

It's still wrong, though. Because I signed up at school during a study hall period. So it would've been closer to 10 am, not 10 pm. None of this makes any sense. O_o

Did you change your time zone setting? Since it says 10:53 PM on 9/12/01 for me, if you shift that by a few hours it could take it to the following day

Nope. If I hover on my name at the top of the topic list, and then click the "My Account" button in the drop-down, it says 9/13/2001. But apparently if I go to my public profile, it's listed as 9/12/2001.

The time is still not correct, though. Like I said, i signed up during school. So it should be 10:53 am, not 10:53 pm. I was like 14 at the time. I wasn't even allowed to be online that late. XD

Not a chance. I've actually been asked quite a few times why I signed up the day after 9-11. Not the anniversary of 9-11 or anything. The actual day. It's a pretty easy day to remember. And I signed up specifically because a friend of mine said there were some real good discussions going on the social boards here about it. It's why I found both LUE and CE.

I'd been around GameFAQs for a while for game walkthroughs and cheats and stuff, but I hadn't made a proper account until then. Unless you count the one I made like a year earlier, posted one question on a game board, and then promptly forgot all of the login info for. >_<

Happened to me too. I know I signed up on the evening of October 8th 2001 but for some reason it says the 9th.

The actual reason is because the user page's time is not in sync with the site nor the public profile. They're all out of sync so they're throwing everything off.
