And he went on to say otherwise again after the movie was actually out, only to publicly apologize because Disney told him to shut it.

They really just need to give 100% creative control to some hungry af younger director who will commit to basing the plot on good canon shit and who will employ old school special effects. Basically recreate the setting of how Lucas crafted the OT.

Although I think even with the Disney method, they could make a pretty rad solo Vader movie or just something entirely focused on the dark side - none of this good guy bullshit thats predictable as hell.

Kathleen is the head of LFL. LFL makes Star Wars. Disney produces and markets it, they don't tell them what stories to write or make any decisions on that front, and your link doesn't say otherwise. Same with Marvel. Iger is well-known for being hands off with his properties.

I haven't seen SW movies past 6, but i remember when 1,2 and 3 came out everyone said they were shit. Its just that you can't please everyone, and the people who don't like something makes more noise than people who did like something. Makes it seem like no one likes anything sometime.

I dunno after watching 7 Star Wars movies where I knew everything that was gonna happen it was nice finally getting a movie that actually surprised me. Star Wars has only ever given me that feeling in KOTOR.

I have no idea how episode 9 will wrap up now. They could take it anywhere. JJ will probably go the obvious route though. But they don't need to.

Point is that all of the questions were answered with anti-climatic responses. Rey's parents? Who cares! Snoke? Doesn't matter? Luke? lol think again

Disney fucked up by giving Rian Johnson control. Definitely felt like he was just going against the grain and JJ. Luke was supposed to have the Force at the end of TFA, so it's obvious JJ wanted to go somewhere else, but Rian changed it up.
