I received an invite and I figured I'd go. I read that Raw 25 was terrible, but I have no clue who's in the actual title matches or in the Rumble itself.

I won't pretend his match last year was the departure he deserved, but that retirement segment after the match was amazing. Even if he came back and had his best match since CM Punk, it still seems a mistake to wrestle after such a fitting farewell.

I don't think he's going to, though he will fight for the title at WM. Tonight's winner will challenge AJ

Itll likely be a SDL guy.

Early reports are that Elimination Chamber will have an EC match for the #1 contenders spot to face Brock at WM and that Roman will win there.

However, the Fastlane ads that the Quicken Loans Arena have been putting out could throw a curveball since theyre advertising some kind of multi-man match for AJs title including Shinsuke, Orton, Owens, and Zayn.

Id watch the Rumble anyway. Likely we get another chapter of the Shane/Owens/Zayn/Bryan saga and the tag matches should be good.

Definitely, but I hope people will treat any sort of return he does a sort of "epilogue", you know after the dust settles and stuff, there's still one more thing to do? That's how I figure Taker would want to wrap things up properly.

Then he can do Biker Taker as his persona again and start trolling the locker room

His promo he did at RAW 25 answered literally no questions about Takers future either.

I think he should be done, especially after how WrestleMania ended, but youd also think that WWE would have turned Roman heel to capitalize on the heat he had.

WWE has no plan.

It's so weird.

When he was a biker, the WWE treated that like it was going to be the Undertaker persona going forward, the serious take on the character for the modern era, and that the dead man was an affectionately remembered cartoon character from an era of gimmicks.

Yet, once he was back to being the Undertaker, it was like he'd always been that guy aside from an awkward stint of about four years where he played a biker for some reason.

That wouldn't end well. If Bryan ever gets cleared, and that's sadly a big if, a match with Shane is the last person he should face. Shane is sloppy and needs dangerous spots to get the crowd into his matches and that's just not smart with Bryan.

I think they realized the Deadman gimmick was more legendary and added cheap pop with the gongs and smoke.

But since he broke character I think Biker Taker is more natural and can allow him more TV time without wrestling. It's not like he's gonna be any less intimidating to the rest of the roster lol

He came out as like a Druid Undertaker for RAW 25 though. Also rambled like the Deadman Taker.

Idk. I think he should be retired tbh but if he wants one more match, Cena should be the guy. Hell keep him safe and hes a better worker than Reigns, so that awkward Tombstone spot wont happen. But like, is it worth it to lose again at WrestleMania, especially after the sendoff he got last year?

Fans were too busy hating and booing Roman last year to fully show their gratitude for Undertaker. If he's having one more match, then he should either:

A) put over an up-and-coming star that the fans like.
or
B) win and ride off into the sunset to give the fans a real moment to appreciate him and say goodbye.

For putting over someone young, I could see Finn Balor or Braun Strowman being the guy. For going out with a win and riding into the sunset, Cena or Kane would be great choices to put him over in that last match since they wouldn't lose any credibility from the loss.

Another option that we've never gotten to see at Wrestlemania before could be a tag team match with the Brothers Of Destruction teaming together. Have a heel-ish team like The Bar or The Usos call him out (if Ambrose wasn't injured, he and Rollins would have worked too thanks to their connection to Reigns) and have Kane come out for the save. For the match, they dominate Kane for a while, Undertaker gets the hot tag, then does all the Undertaker spots we know and love, and gets the pin. That way Kane (and Paul Bearer's urn) get to be part of the deadman's sendoff, and he doesn't have to work a full match with his age and condition.

Undertaker is too old school to do anything but leave on his back.

They should have ended the streak with turning Cena heel or have Reigns legit retire Taker and go heel but WWE wont pull the trigger.

Hes going to lose his last match. Preferably to a younger guy but outside of Braun, idk if Braun can work with old man Taker. It cant be someone green, as Reigns couldnt help carry the match. It has to be with a good worker. Maybe Finn, but theyve already destroyed anything he had.

I know that's what he would want for the business and himself, but for the fans who have watched him over the past three decades, seeing him leave with one last WM victory would be the best outcome. But if he does have to leave while putting someone over, Finn and Braun are definitely the two best candidates.

I wouldn't say "jobbing" if they dominate most of the match but lose to a double chokeslam at the end. The opponents still look good dominating him and Kane early in the match. This idea with the Brothers Of Destruction reuniting one last time was mainly for Undertaker to go out on top without needing him to have a full match at his age and condition. Plus, it gets Kane involved in Undertaker's final sendoff, which I think should happen due to all of their history together as partners and rivals.

I admit that I forgot about Harper and Rowan as possible opponents, and they could work too. But I had picked the Usos as the top choice since they can go heel again (or at least heel-leaning tweener) with their gimmicks pretty easily, and they also have that connection to Reigns that they could use to piss off Undertaker and goad him into the match. Like I said, Ambrose and Rollins would have been great for this too, but Ambrose sadly got injured and ruined that possibility.

I love the new Usos and while I feel like a dick saying it, theyre above Taker right now.

The only people Undertaker should be dealing with are top-level guys who have nothing else to do atm (Cena) or a younger talent to put over (Finn, Harper/Rowan, etc). The Usos have too much going for them now and they should be facing teams like FUCKING RUSEV DAY WHO NEEDS TO STOP JOBBING DAMMIT.

It just pained me to watch that match last year since not only did WWE squander the heat it gave Reigns, but it was just a poor match. He really needs someone in there who can call an audible on the fly and has a ton of experience. Thats why the Cena rumors are so prevalent and likely. Hes the perfect guy for Undertaker to face at Mania if he wants another match.

As a fan, Id love to see Taker again. But again, after thinking about that match with Reigns, I kind of want him to stay retired. Who knows though, someone like Cena could give him a better sendoff.

If that's the case, then Cena needs to lose. Cena has nothing to gain from beating him, and he would just bring back a lot of the boos that he had escaped. Fans are finally starting to like and appreciate Cena. Don't blow it by having him pointlessly beat the deadman. That would be worse than Taker just never coming back after the loss to Reigns. Like I said, unless Undertaker is putting over a young star that the fans like, he should win his final WM match and get the grand sendoff that he deserves.
