C3PO having a silver leg is one of those things Ive always known, but keep forgetting about unless someone brings it up or I'm actively watching the movie.

Some of those are bullshit but some of them honestly make me wonder if it's real. It's creepy stuff. There are a few things where I remember them as different than they are.

I always thought it was funny because never thought Mandela died in prison, but so many of those "Mandela effects" have affected me like the Bernstein (stain) and fruit (froot) loops

The one that has been making me feel crazy the last few years is the spelling of Hillary Clinton. I swear at some point there was only one 'L' in her first name

Chik Fil A vs Chick Fil A was the one that got me, until I realized it was the cow billboards that were to blame

I always thought my C3PO toys leg paint just rubbed off cause the "silver" was so fucking faded in the original films.

That's the only reason I know it isn't a Mandela Effect, because my toy always had a silver leg I just thought it was a paint mistake till like 3 years ago.

Nah. The Mandela effect is totally real. You can agree that various explanations are totally nonsense. The fact people collective misremember in the same way is true however.

According to the script it's a water-pistol, presumably to use against the Wicked Witch

But it's a gun

Here's a potentially new one I like:

Mork appears in the Happy Days season five episode, "My Favorite Orkan", which first aired in February 1978 and is a take on the 1960s sitcom My Favorite Martian. Williams' character, Mork, attempts to take Richie Cunningham back to his planet of Ork as a human specimen, but his plan is foiled by Fonzie. In the initial broadcast of this episode, it all turned out to be a dream that Richie had, but when Mork proved so popular, the ending was re-edited to show Mork erasing the experience from everyone's minds, thus meaning the event had actually happened and was not a dream.[citation needed]

This is weird.

I remember the punchline being it was a dream and then Mork turns up acting normal.

I don't remember him erasing memories.

The only thing I've ever had that I could describe as a Mandela Effect experience was when I thought that the Goo Goo Dolls' "Iris" was from Treasure Planet. Then I learned that the song was sung by the band's vocalist, and the Mandela Effect went right out the window.
