I remember using AOL 17 years ago and having a huge buddylist. I used to be having 7 or 8 IMs open at the same time. Hard to have that experience anymore :(

lol
But anyway yeah that's about when I started using the internet. I remember going to a certain cheat website for cheats/guides and going to eat lunch and coming back to see the site finish loading.

I also thought Netscape was the coolest shit ever with the built in e-mail program and everything. I wish there were a modern internet browser suite like that.

You could search AOL profiles and I used to message people whose profile said they were attending my high school. One girl was Christina, popular girl in school, who also ended up being in some of my classes. We still talk 17 years later.

The internet was a lot different before 2004/2005.

I personally started using the internet around 1995/1996 I think. AOL 3.0.

I know I just wouldn't call it the early days of internet necessarily.

Speaking of searching profiles, I used to search Yahoo! profiles, sometimes you'd find some really X rated photo galleries.

What would you call the early days? Most people didn't start using the internet until the mid to late 90s.

Yeah, I started using the internet in the mid 90s with AOL 3.0 and Windows 95. It's crazy how much the internet has grown, and the underlying technology along with it.

I'd say early-to-mid 90s. Not that I personally used the internet back then (I did play computer games), but I think that's when it really took off for general users.

I remember being a weeb in grade school.

I'd frequently go to this AOL Chatroom called "Kuni no Yume". It was filled with tons of other weebs. And then people would invite others to custom chatrooms to have roll-play sessions with. I did a lot of that back then. >_>

And the YuGiOh chatrooms, before all the online clients, where we'd duel online by typing our moves. But you know darn well half the people playing were lying their ass off about their hands. Lol.

I'd wager 80 percent of users in those chatrooms had a username with "Vash" somewhere in it. I guess Trigun was really popular at the time. <_<

I miss those days tbh. Were fun.

I used to have so many girls on AOL and then AIM.

I was such a smooth talker. I'll never forget my favorite girl Jenna from New York. Don't know if it was a chat room or what that is first found her but I talked to her for years and we got really serious for a while. We even did like an online date night where we watched Desperado at the same time while chatting. That was a fun girl.

No, although interestingly she didn't have a bf for 95% of that time. I guess I felt like I wasn't in her league since she was hot and popular, but she was extremely nice and never seemed stuck up and never acted like she was better than me.

The furthest that happened was that she sent me a nude picture of her to draw.

She changed the pose a bit. It was supposed to be the Venus pose from the front, but she took the picture from close to a 3/4 behind angle so that her butt and side of her face were visible, but not her front. Only one of her boobs were visible and from an angle, so there is only a slight hint of nipple. She's like a D cup though.

I still commend her for going through with it.

Thanks! Perhaps it was better that it wasn't full frontal since it might have been too intimate. Also, it didn't go so well asking other female friends before that.

It's been a long time since I've had such long-lasting friendships though.
